I suspect an internal connector problem, maybe for floppy interface, that seek at boot when turned on.
Try to open the keyboard and gently disconnect and reconnect all internal cables (there are dozens). This is a very old model, but i enjoying it even today
Enter button not working

If this is a traditional keyboard (not laptop) or extremely fancy keyboard.

Try unplugging the keyboard. Then.
 1. Take a butter knife and slide it into the crevice next to the "enter key".
 2. Apply a small amount of pressure to pry the key upward.
 3. With little effort the key should pop off or slide off.
 4. Check the spot the key was for dirt, dust, food, etc. Clean it if you must. Make sure the actual key does not have anything stuck to the bottom of it.
 5. Push the key back onto it's place on the keyboard.
 6. Plug back in and see if that worked.
If this did not work, you may need to replace the keyboard OR you may want to make sure no viruses are playing an aweful trick on you.

Keyboard will not turn on

If it hasn\'t been dropped or bumped, check the adapter. Work backwards from the keyboard. It doesn\'t take much for the casio adapters to pack a sad. If there\'s an overload in your switchboard, it\'s usually the Casio that packs a sad...everything else is fine, microwave, tv, stereo - just not the casio. Their adapters are garbage and until recently - they\'ve just gotten better

I am having trouble running an american dj quad gem in dmx mode. I have other lights that are working fine.

If by chance teh light is on the end of a long DMX cable run, read about putting a terminating resistor at the end of the chain. You say you are having "trouble"... that doesn't tell us anything that we could help you with.

My oxygen 49 3rd generation (m-audio) midi keyboard just stopped working for me. Ive tried changing the usb lead, and I've tried it on a different computer, and it still doesn't work. I have a macbook pro,...

If the keyboard is lighting up, there is a 90% chance the problem is in the software in your MAC.

Hint: Software "breaks" easier than the hardware !!!

Re-install your software as a first step.

Casio keyboard lit up, no sound, no responses

Unplug for several minutes and try again.

If that doesn't work, look up the "factory reset" procedure for your particular model via google and follow that procedure. It usually involves holding certain buttons down before and during power up.

My PSR 550 giving signal (thru m audio fast track)...but no sound

You have to decide whether your keyboard will function as the controller to send the midi info to your program and have the program use the onboard sounds on your soundcard or use the sounds on your keyboard. Here is a link to a forum that I highly recommend:http://www.recordingreview.com/ It is free to join and the free download of Killer Home Recording Setting Up is great. There is lots of info on this site that will explain exactly what you need to know.Check out midi troubleshooting 101 and Getting Started with Midi Sequencing. The site owner Brandon Drury uses Cubase himself and I highly recommend their forum. Hope this helps.

The sustain is on all the time.

The pedal activates a microswitch fitted to the circuit board. I suspect for some reason unbeknown to man and spirits this switch has become "stuck" or collapsed. If the latter then it has to be replaced as they are soldered to the board. You coulod open the unit trace the pedal back to the sustain switch and "jiggle" it manually to try and release it. A small amount of WD40 on your finger and rubbed over the pole of the switch( do not spray it) should help it to stay releaased until wanted. If you see corrosion on the board near the switch then take it to a music repair shop as this corrosion is like a cancer and will spread to other keys.Mice piddle is not unusual on keyboards and a great destroyer.

Either the keyboard is disconnected or the Keyscan on the keyboard itself is but. More than likely a loose connector.
