Hi,it seems you are experimenting a light engine problem. This is how your tv works: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZLLHnQ4y-wo So basically the 3 Lcd chips that create the colors and image is going bad and thats why you get that color discoloration.Contact Sony or look for your light engine online.God bless you and your house!

My sony tv model # KP-46WT510 the picture bows to the middle i tried fixing the convergence and it does nothing what else should i try

If the convergence feature did not fix the issue then you will need to install a convergence repair kit. Your model uses the Sony type 1 convergence repair kit which is available from www.tvrepairworld.com and includes the parts and the CD with instructions.

I have a kp-46wt510 and the picture is messed up. The colors are not matching up and the picthture squeezes in in the middle. What can I do to fix it?

You need to replace the two stk392-560 IC's located on the D Board. They are hidden behind two very large finned heatsinks. Recommended procedure would be to replace both IC's, along with pico fuse and be sure to apply thermal paste to stk IC's when mounting to heatsinks. Here is link to purchase all three items:

Tv sony 46 inch colored blurry..and picture is bowed

This problem is due to failure of two convergence out ICs in TV that will be replaced to get correct picture.
If you can solder parts in circuit board and have necessary tools to do so, let me know exact model of TV to provide you more technical info or call local TV tech to replace convergence out chips.
Thanks.

Here is a quick test....

Using your original remote go-to the tv settings then goto the convergence section.

Try to adjust the red and then the blue convergence.

You should be able to move them up, down, left, and right.

If you can't move them in all directions your convergence chips are bad and should be replaced. This is a common problem.

Common problem?

You have a convergence issue and it is most likely fixed with the replacement of your convergence amps. Replacement should run around $200.00 or so depending on labor costs in your area
