The driver attaches to a piston. If the driver has broken it will not return up it is either broken off the piston or an o-ring has went bad around the cylinder. After firing these o-rings direct a shot of air under the pist so it moves back up. What make of gun do you have?

look at the end where the nail comes out . it should be flush across , if the plunger is sticking out then push it back in with a flat screw driver and try again.soft wood quite often lets the nail shoot to far

Porter-cable plunger extended and will not reload new nail

could be a jammed nail in the nose assembly, try removing all the nails and dry firing. If still the same after making sure nothing stuck in the nose, you probably have an issue with the firing valve or piston.

My Senco SFN1 finish nailer will not shoot a nail. When the trigger is pulled air comes out but no nail is shot. Thanks,Steve L

Not sure about Senco but most have latch you can open to expose firing mechanism. Nail sometimes gets jammed and will not allow driver to fire or if not nail push driver ****** all the way back into gun then see if gun will fire.

Shoot no shoot

make sure that the filter in the back is clean you can pop the back cover off and clean it with water if it is dirty then the excess co2 gas that the gun gives off will not be able to excape the chamber and sensors inside the gun will not let if fire. This should work for you

N80CB - Coil Framing Nailer firing plunger stuck

There is a number of reasons that this will happen. Is the driver (plunger) physically stuck? Take a small screw driver and see if it can manually be pushed back. It may also be a broken head valve spring, or a stuck head valve (you have to remove the rear cap to get to these parts) Maybe this unit just needs an O-ring kit. Try these things and let me know

Will a 1/3 hp compressor fire an 18 guage 5/8'-2" Finish nailer?

You compessor is ideal for a small spray gun however a pin nailer requires 80 to 100 psi and a small air storage thank to operate properly. The nailer may very well shoot a short nail into very soft wood at 30 psi, however there may not be enough pressure to push the piston back to top positon to load another nail and fire again. Good Luck
