I have an AT&T LG VU 920c phone that is unlocked. It is set up to utilize AT&T internet and mms. I need to set it up to access the internet and send/receive mms for Viaero Wireless. I have been...

Hi, you need to ring your service provider you are now using and ask them to send you the correct mms and internet settings, tell them you dont want the support all you need is the settings for their network

you need to say to them the phone was on another network and you have had it unlocked as you want to use the network your trying to get the settings for, these settings are universal across all phones so the settings for that phone would be the same settings as anothr phone any make or model, so just tell them you have put the sim card into this phone and you now need to get the settings for mms and internet.

They will send you these settings via an email and they will not charge for this, when you put one of their new sim cards into a phone it will automatically send the settings to you via txt message so you need to tell them the phone has the settings on it from the old network, how ever if you stress to them that you prefer their network and have been a regular customer they should send you the settings, they cant charge for this but you will need to tell them that the phone accepts the sim card and you can make calls from it but all you need is the mms and wap settings sent to your phone.

Once they have sent you these your phone will ask you update so you choose update and it will then store the new settings on your phone and you should then be up and running in no time.

So give them a ring and say you have paid to unlock the phone and you need to update the phone to the latest mms and wap settings, tell them that you want to use their network.

they cant refuse to send you the settings if they do ask to speak to a manager as the settings are universal across al phones so dont ask for support just tell them to send you the mms and wap settings to your phone number so you can send and receive picture and media messages and use the internet.

You could also try looking on your service providers web site as a lot of service provider have these settings on their that you can send to the phone yourself so its worth loking, how ever not all the service providers offer this service but most do so have a look at their main site.

let me know how you get on or if you need further assistance ok

Cannot getpicture mesaging on my Motorola V500

You are probably not provisioned for MMS service with your provider. You would need to contact your mobile operator to get MMS service enabled for your account.

As for problems sending ... every mobile operator has different settings that are required to be configured in the mobile phone in order to support MMS. There are no magic settings that work with all operators.

So you need to find out what the appropriate settings for MMS are for your operator. A general description of the type of settings information you are looking for can be found here:

You must then configure those settings in your mobile phone. And the process of configuring those settings is different for every mobile phone. So you'd need to refer to the manual for that phone to determine how to configure the operator's MMS settings in the phone.

There is a link for documentation/manuals for Motorola phones at the following URL: 128&cat=3

Unfortunately, the Motorola manual for the v500 doesn't explain how to configure the MMS settings in the phone. For some operators, in some countries, you can use the following service to send the settings to your Motorola phone over SMS:

Unfortunately, I don't know what else to do to help you, as I do not know exactly what menu option to use on that phone to configure the MMS settings.

try this menu then settings then connectivity then network then access point then new access point then fill in it is case sensitive so do it exact name: MEdia Net
bearer setting: gprs APN: wap.cingular user id: WAP@CINGULARGPRS.COM Password: CINGULAR1 Primary server: Secondary
then save it

then go back to menu then internet then settings then network profiles then new profile then fill in name: MEdia Net homepage: device.home proxy: on ip address: port number: 9201 access point MEdia Net then save then options then activate

then menu then messaging then settings then multimedia then network profiles name:MMS homepage proxy: on ip address:

When you receive the message with id and password, it usually means that either your phone is not multimedia messaging compatible or your account is not provisioned with the actual multimedia messaging feature itself.
If unable to send or receive a picture message (MMS), troubleshoot accordingly:
  1. Attempt to connect to MEdia Net on the device. Connectivity to MEdia Net confirms the device has enough signal strength and GPRS availability to send and receive MMS.
  2. Verify MMS is being sent to an AT&T subscriber. If MMS message is being sent to someone other then an AT&T wireless services subscriber, verify that the carrier is supported.
  3. Picture messaging settings are pre-configured on all devices purchased from AT&T. If the settings have been altered or if the device was not purchased from AT&T, validate picture message settings are properly configured.
  4. Attempt to send an MMS again.
  5. If further assistance is required, please contact Customer Care.

If problems occur, please perform the following troubleshooting steps:
  1. Verify device has signal strength.
  2. Check for a GPRS attach on the device.
  3. Verify the browser settings are correct.
  4. Clear the browser cache.
  5. Power cycle the device (turn off and back on).
  6. Attempt to access MEdia Net again.
  7. If unable to access a particular MEdia Net site, check to see if the site is supported by AT&T.
  8. If problem persists, please contact AT&T Customer Service for wireless customers.

Mms settings

Hello you two. the problem might be your networks and not the phones cause the motorola w375 comes mms enabled all that will be left for you to do is to activate mms from your network. all you have to do is call your netwrok and ask them to activate it for you. and if they say they did do this the other way round. instead of changing it to sms confiugre your mms.Under Message Setup > MMS Message Setup there is an Autosignature field. How on earth can I set a signature for regular SMS? I don't use MMS so that feature is basically useless to me. Is there anyway to get it in SMS? i hope i helped bye!
