Question about Cuisinart DCC-2000
Could be scale build up in the heating mechanism. See what the Cuisinart folks recommend to clean this area. You can find the model number of the maker and go on line to the company where most companies will provide you with a owner's manual electronically. If this doesn't improve the water situation then the thermostat needs to be replaced. Don't know what you paid for the unit but repairs are expensive unless the maker in under a warranty.
