    Thanks, eldee,

There is no wiring diagram on the motor. The motor is actually a 3 phase motor 240 V. The resistance between each Phase is 2 Ohms. I have only 2 pole power at the pool pump area and the previous pump was a 230 2 pole pump. Can i use this 3 phase motor to run with a 2 pole voltage of 230V? Thanks.

More info: The Motor has 3 hot wire and ground 220 V. The line at the pool area has 2 pole and ground. I have a 50 Microfarad, 370 V Capacitor to use.

I am guessing that the wiring diagram is on the plate that fits over the wiring area. It should show both of the hookups.
If it is not there, check on line with: www.diynetwork.com.
Good luck...Lee

How to convert 220v 3 wire supply to 380v using a triple pole fuse

You have 3-phase 230-240V, and you want 3-phase 380V
Requires 3 transformers with 230-240V primary coil and 380 secondary coil.
You cannot change voltage with a fuse.
The purpose of a fuse is to measure heat on the wire,,, and trip when heat exceeds fuse rating.

Have a 3 phase compressor model vr5-8 want to know if it can be converted to single phase 230 volt and how

A 3phase motor cannot be rewired to run on single phase power. You need a phase converter. A 3-phase motor will only run on 3-phase power, and a phase converter will convert single phase power to 3 phase. Just google phase converter. There are two basic types, electronic and rotary. The rotary type are more powerful and efficient, but lot's more expensive than the electronic ones. Your only other option is to replace the motor with a single phase motor. Good luck.

I need a three phase wiring diagram for 8145-20 model timer.

8145-20 240Volt Paragon timer is not 3-phase.
Clock motor is 240V.
You need a transformer to convert 3-phase to single phase 240V to operate timer.
Then timer outputs can control 3-phase power using 3-phase contactors
Contactor below is 3 phase with 240V coil

Need instructions on how to install a 750W Fahrenheat heater. Wire size, breaker size, etc.

Hi,
To know what to tell you you need to know if it is 1 phase or 3 phase and what the voltage is that it will be running on...

Assuming that it is 240v 1 phase current you will need at least a 40 amp 2 pole breaker and #8 wire for a distance of upto about 100 ft. if longer then you need to go up to #6 wire....

7500 watts / 240v equals 31.25 amps... so a thirty to too small and you will need the 40....

Wire sizing needs to go larger as the run gets longer...

Taking my P660 out out a building with 3 phase power and into one with only single phase. Converter says motor will run on 2/3 power. Good or bad idea????

Good!

MOTOR:

21?2 H.P., Hobart designed, high torque ball bearing,

ventilated within mixer enclosure. Single-phase is

capacitor-start, induction-run type.

Three-phase is

polyphase squirrel cage, induction-run type.

Single Phase 208V 20.0 Amps

240V 17.0 Amps

Three Phase 208-240V 8.6 Amps

Sorry bought magnum compressor 3phase but also runs 240v cannot get it to run on 240v any info would be realy helpfull ta Peter

if you have a 3phase motor it will only run using 3 phase power no matter what voltage or you can get a phase converter but they are pricey and varies with what horsepower your motor is

Can I wire a 3 phase motor to a residential service breaker panel, if so how.

Technically you could, but the operation would be horrible. 3 phase motors are used for industrial applications because there is little lapse in power and the motors don't ****, example: metal mills and smooth surfaces.

Unless you have all 3 phases from the pole xformer to your main panel, no.

I have 2-240V (4.2V) basebaord heaters, Need Wiring Diagram

you get 120V from any phase (black OR red) to neutral
you get 240V from phase to phase (between black and red) and in this scenario you don't need the white wire.
So for you, connect the black to 1 pole of the breaker and the red to the other pole, connect the green wire to the ground strip and you are done.
A white wire is NEVER connected to a circuit breaker anyway, it is a grounded wire, it would be like connecting a green wire to a black wire, bad idea.
the National electrical code specifies red and black wire color for 240VAC circuits.
As Ask Hank mentionned, nothing wrong with 10/3 wire.

Starting three phase pump

First you need to have 3 phase power. Almost no households have 3 phase power availble. You would need to get a three phase converter which would cost as much as a new pump. If you have three phase power you will need a 3 pole relay that is triggered from a timer and rated for the current of the motor.
