Question about Maytag Microwave Ovens
Yes there is internal protection.
It is a fuse, similar to standard glass fuse(agc) but this one will have a solid color (white or brown) with metal end caps, it is a ceramic fuse and cannot be replaced by regular glass fuse, ceramic fuses dissipate heat.
Its value should be around 15 AMPS , it will be written on one of the end cap, and/or inside the microwave near the fuse holder.
Remove the cover and follow the power cord inside it will lead you directly to it. Any appliance repair shop or even tv repair shop will carry that. And don`t forget to unplug before you put your fingers in it. Hope this will help. Good luck
