IT SOUNDS LIKE THE ELEMENT HAS BURNT OUT ,TO FIX THIS FIRST TURN OFF THE POWER TO THE COOKER , THEN LOCATE THE SCREWS ISIDE THE OVENS BACK PANEL REMOVE AND TAKE OFF PANEL YOU SHOULD SEE THE ELEMENT REMOVE IT FROM THE CONECTOR BY PULLING IT OUT BUT FIRST UNCLIP IT , THEN BRING THE ELEMENT TO AN ELECTIRCAL AND PLUMMERS SUPLY STORE FOR NEW REPLACEMENT THEN FIT NEW ELEMENT AND YOUR OVEN SHOULD BE LIKE NEW, GOOD HUNTING.

Maytag Gemini mgr6775 Lower oven takes FOREVER to preheat, but even when it says it is at 350, an independent oven thermometer says 310. It takes so long to bake anything.

Dear Scrapyourhea,
First ensure that your independent thermometer is working fine. It seems that there is problem with your heat mechanism. Normally this type of problems requires servicing....
Download the manual from given link and go through it. This will tell you the cause for the same.

Upper oven makes loud whooshing noise sometimes , like the gas ( propane )is blasting full tilt model mgr6775 ,mgr6875

Hi,
The gas is not the problem... the ignitor is...
The gas is building up in there before it ignites because the ignitor is not working properly...
Replace the igniotr and the problem will go away..

Oven heats very slowly

If your top burners work ok, regulator should be ok. Majority of times the fail part in the oven is the ignitor...turn oven on and check for a flame after 10 mins. small flame could mean a bad safety valve.

Maytag MGR6775 Gas stove. One igniter not working.

Clean the burner with a wire brush around where the ignitor is. it needs a proper ground to ignite. When you turn the burner on do you hear a click click click? If so this should solve the problem.

Oven Problem

Yes, I replaced the lower oven sensor: it did not have continuity once disconnected from the rest of the circuit. That sensor transfers the power to the lower bake ignitor.
