Question about Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-T1 Digital Camera

1 Answer

Blankness When I switch it on, my screen goes grey-white for a few seconds. Then, It shows my last picture taken but it's very fuzzy and faded. Then the picture changes into complete greyness. THEN, it'll jump from the grey-whitness, to that faded picture. Damn. Would there be any why I could just replace a part in it? Like the hard drive or something? Definitely sounds like something is really fucked in my cam. Sniff. I loved it and hate having to buy another new one as I'm accustomed to using this one.

All of the pictures taken are very fuzzy no matter what you do

check to see if a flower appears on the screen. If it does then the camera is set to macro and all your pictures except close up will be fuzzy. To switch macro off, move the ring on the front of the camera till the arrow is pointed straight down. I was having the same problem. Wasted a whole day of vacation pictures. That was what fixed my problem and I hope it fixes yours too,

White and fuzzy screen

Hey mea411,
What you should do is have the camera looked at by an authorized service technician. There is most likely something wrong with the LCD screen itself. I hope this helps!

Turn on camera but the lcd sceen is black

Have you checked the display mode you're in? If you have the display set to off (to save power) and also the picture review time set to off, then you'll just see a black screen. Try pressing the 'Disp.' button below the screen when the camera is on - it should cycle through different settings with each press: Off, On, On with picture info. Similarly, in the playback mode this will show you more or less info about the picture you are viewing.

Even if the display is switched off, if you have your 'review' option in the menu set to anything other than Off (i.e. 2 seconds), then you should see the picture you've taken appear on the screen straight after taking it.

If it's not that, then I don't know the answer....
