You should have no problem getting a replacement fan motor.
You will have to gain access to thr rear of the oven to change it, but it is usually a straightforward repair.
Please rate my solution.
Thanks.

My Diplomat ADP3300 fan assisted oven has been turning off when trying to heat up, but has now completely turned off. I am an electrician so have checked the obvious stuff but not sure what I'm looking...

I'm an electrical engineering technician college dropout. :) But i have had 30 years experience troubleshooting and working on electronics and appliance repair on occasion. I would look for the circuit board. It could have burned circuit traces or a failed voltage rectifier. Sometimes the whole board just needs replacing. Most boards that have relays have relays arcing and sticking inside at times too. If it isn't that then there is not much more than a thermal cutoff that could be the problem. They can be tested for open circuit easily. Also if the fan ever stops turning the thermal cutoff could be a safety feature to prevent overheating.

I have a diplomat fan oven. I repalced the fan element about six months ago. everything worked fine, however in the past couple of weeks the motor has been running slowly and erratically. now something has...

Sounds like the fan motor has failed altogether, and as a result the oven element has probably blown again due to overheating of the element.A ew fan and element is more than likely going to be needed to correct the problem.

Have same problem, I am repairing our 648HM double oven. Top oven overheats. I am an electronics engineer. I found that top oven fan has failed, this is the first thing to replace. The grill element also failed which maybe due to the overheating oven. NIGEL

The oven turns off after 30 mins

Is the clock re-setting and flashing? Either the fan is failing and the oven is overheating, or the thermostat is faulty and the oven THINKS it is overheating. It is a fail-safe kicking in, momentarily cutting power to the oven to avoid lasting damage.
Set the time on the clock and the oven should be okay to go again, but if problem repeats, replace the fan and/or the thermostat - it is difficult even for an engineer with all his equipment to diagnose which of the two is at fault, but its about all there is to go wrong on a gas oven.
Apparently!

Noise from fan when electric oven is first turned on

The fans are not normally repairable, but there is no problem obtaining replacements.
On a double oven, there are usually 2 fans fitted.
There is an external cooling fan usually fitted on the top of the oven, you would have to remove the top cover of oven to access it, and possibly the rear panel as well.
Then there is the fan fitted in the main oven compartment.
If you open the oven door as it is working, you should be able to determine if it is the fan oven or the external cooling fan that is the cause of the problem.
If you determine it is the fan in the oven that is noisy, then to undo the fan blade assy, you have unscrew the nut clockwise to remove it. as opposed to the normal way of undoing a nut.
Please rate my fixya solution.
Thanks.
