I recomend the 3M Kit it comes with pad holder, 6 pcs. sanding disc, 4 pcs. finishing disc, Trizact disc, 1 oz. headlight lens polish and Buffing Pad. Found Here I will be buying this as upon further inspection the haze is actualy small surface cracks and pits and rufness that will need to be sanded out.

Wash your headlights well using soapy water; rinse and dry. Dip a corner of your soft rag in denatured alcohol, which you can find at most paint or hardware stores. Rub the solution on your lens in small, circular motions. Repeat until your headlights lose some of their yellow hue.

Need to replace "foggy" lenses

Hi,
Normally those can be restored with a clean up kit available at the parts store. It is only around $20 and can be done easily at home. Much cheaper than the $200-$400 you will spend on replacement headlight assemblies....Mike

My headlights keep burning out, both bright and normal. They seem to be shorting out and it's getting expensive. Right after I replace one, the other one burns out! My lens covers are also no longer clear,...

If both lenses are foggy chances are your bulbs are acting like fuses and when wet/damp blowing, reseal with silicon,or replace lenses.(when lenses get foggy it is also a sign that the chrome has oxidised.)

Foggy headlight lens replace driver door mirror

Foggy headlight lens is from water ingress and gets trapped in there, the easiest way for you is to unscrew the back of the headlight assembly and get a hair drier and just dry out the head light, it may come back after a few rains,, other wise undo the screw holding the headlight unit, disconect wires and remove unit, I have the submerged unit into water watching where air bubbles come from then apply a small bead of water proof flexible sealand or silastic around the edge where the cover and lense meet, Dont try to take the lense off you will break something. Dry out completly and use hair dryer agin on low setting to make sure all moisture is gone and reassemble back onto vehicle....

How do you take the light cover off the headlight? It is all foggy and i need to clean. What should i clean it with?

you can pick up polishing compound from an auto parts store, removing the lenses is put of the question as they are sealed units, a little elbow grease and sealer then you're all set

Headlight lenses foggy not clear any more

The haze is almost always on the inside of the housing. It can be restored by first removing the lens cover and polishing very gently with a paste made from baking powder and water. make a waterry paste and clean a small area at a time with a soft cloth. Requires some patience, but can be done.
