What's the model of the phone? Does it display RING OFF or did you turn it off on the side? What happens if you swap the phone with another? Does the instrument not ring, or is it the extension?

SOURCE: My Panasonic kx tg-2620 shows "ringer off". How do I turn it on?

To solve it, I pressed Menu then the silver down arrow to access the Ringer Settings. For some reason, I was trying to use the black buttons beside the Menu button to navigate.

Thanks anyway!

Is the Panasonic 7731 compatable with the D816 Hybred system

Yes. It requires both pairs to be connected back to the KSU and you lose the XDP that isn't on the back of an analog phone. Also, you can't plug it into an XDP of an existing digital phone.

I bought five Panasonic KX-T7730X phones. The business i work for has a Panasonic KX-TD1232 system. I unpack all phones and tried it on different extensions and won't work. there isn't ant pulse....

A TD system is a DIGITAL phone system and the 7730 phones are ANALOG. I don't know what X means, but I guess they're not from the US :-). Anyway, the ANALOG phones need 4 wires to work, instead of the 2 that the digital phones have. If your installer was lazy and didn't cross-connect 4 wires at the frame or put in 4 bridge clips on each jumper, then you don't have a voice path. Or, XDP is turned on and you'll have a bit of a problem.

If you have an IM and a PM for the TD system, you can find the wiring diagram and the instructions to read the XDP status. Quick answer is the first 2 of every 3 pairs will run to your phone. If you start with a digital phone in the port first, turn on XDP and plug a single line set into the XDP port, you will get dial tone (may have to dial 390 or 391 to enable/disable the XDP twinning) and that dial done will be different from the digital phone. If you don't get dial tone, your first pair wiring is missing. Fix that, turn off XDP and you 77xx series phone will now work in the port.

My phone ringer accidentally got turned off how do I get it back on panasonic PQLV30054ZAS

For a KX-T7633 press the up arrow to increase the ringer volume (up or down arrow adjusts the volume). Some phones (KX-T7625) also have a ringer ON/OFF switch on the back of the unit.

Can't access missed calls, lost my instruction book, need one. Also I get missed calls when I'm sitting right beside the phone. It never rang.Could I talk to someone?

If this is a Panasonic phone connected to a phone system as in an office setting, sounds like the ringer has been turned off. Get someone to call your phone and while they are calling turn the jog dial to turn the ringer back on or use the LCD intertactive keys to turn the ringer back on.

How do I get the "Tel to" ( the line hookup out the back of phone for a cordless) line to work on a KX-T7433

You need 3 things, wiring, programming, and a cordless phone.

There needs to be a 4-wire connection from the TD system, you need to turn on the XDP port in programming, and you need to have a single line device. You can test the first thing by unplugging the digital phone and plugging the cordless phone directly into the socket. If it works, then you have the proper wiring. Now, in programming you need to enable the Jack in 600 and make sure the 39x code on the intercom says unmerged. I don't remember which is which, but I'm guessing (50-50 chance) that 390 makes the XDP stand alone.

Have a kxt-7453 and need to attach a heart monitor which needs an analog phone line. On the back of the kx-t7453 is an XDP jack to attach a fax machine. This would be the analog port; however, there is...

It depends on the system the phone is wired to. A TD-816 has modular plugs on the base cabinet, but uses an Amphenol cable for the expansion units, and a 1232 is all Amp. You need 4 wires to make it work. The quickest way to test is is to unplug the digital phone and plug a single line set into the same jack. If it works, then you need to do some system programming. If it doesn't some wiring.

The digital phone uses the outer paris of a 4-conductor jack, and the analog/XDP is on the inner pairs. We always use 2-pair jumper wire on TD systems, but some installers cheat and don't wire both pairs. You'll know if it works because the single line phone you plug into the jack alone will have the same extension number as the digital set.

If you have dial tone there, by default, when you plug in the digital set, the XDP has to be turned on in program 600 and there's a merge/unmerge comand. The XDP port is 100 more than the station (ie 103/203) and the code to merge/unmerge is 390 and 391 (I can't remember which, so look at the display as one merges (probably 1 and one doesn't 0)

You'll have to teach the device to dial "9" or an access code 81-88 to get a specific line or group.

Outside of that, it's not that bad to program.

ANSWERING MACHINE SET UP

To connect a standard answering machine to this phone, it needs to be wired to a DHLC port and XDP Mode has to be set to "Off." In addition, the Parallel Ringer feature needs to be set to "On" or your ringing phone won't ever ring the answering machine!

Phone ringer

You can download the manual for a very similar phone, the KX-TG2302 at http://service.us.panasonic.com/OperMan/findmanual.aspx?cat=TEL and you can figure out all the features of a KX-TG2303. The simple answer is: while you are not using the phone, press the up or down volume button and it should turn the ringer back on. To turn the ringer back off, press and hold the down volume button until you hear two beeps. You can adjust the volume while the phone is ringing. The manual will tell you how to change your ringer tones, etc.
