Auto logon in Windows 7

You can use automatic logon to log on to your Windows 7
without having to type a user name or password.
(With automatic logon you will not see this anymore)

Configure Windows 7 to auto logon a specific user:

1. Open the Start Menu>All programs>Accessories>Run
(When you open this copy it) control userpasswords2
click the OK button.

2. Click on the user account name,
that you want to have automatically log on to highlight it.
Uncheck the Users must enter a user name and password
to use this computer box.
click the OK button.

3. If the listed box blank - unchecked.
Click on the user account name,
that you want to have automatically log on to highlight it.
click the OK button.

4. In the Password field, enter the selected user account's password.
If the user account does not have a password, then leave this field empty.
click the OK button.

5. Restart your system, and you’re automatically logged in to Windows 7.

Forgot the password

Hold F8 on boot up, and boot into Safe Mode. There will be an Administrator account, which you can use to reset your account password.
If somehow the Administrator account is disabled, you can use alternative methods like: this, this and this.

Windows xp pro logon error message "unable to log you on because your account has been locked out"

If your computer is a part of a business network, you should contact the network administrator so he/she would setup or reconfigure your user account correctly.

If it's a home computer, you'll have to log on as Administrator to unlock your account. To do so:
  1. Click Start -> Log off (user name).
  2. Press Ctrl+Alt+Delete twice.
  3. Type Administrator in the user name and fill in the Administrator account's password. Leave blank if there isn't any.
  4. Once logged in, Click Start -> Run...
  5. Type in: LUSRMGR.MSC and click OK.
  6. Double-click on Users folder.
  7. Double-click on your locked user account.
  8. Uncheck "Account is disabled" and click OK.
  9. Close "Local Users and Groups" window.
  10. Click Start -> Log off Administrator.
  11. Login to your user account!
Note: If you don't have access to the Administrator account (because you don't have the password), please do tell and I'll give you the instructions on how to reset it.

Forgot Windows Login, Windows XP

Okay, you will need to restart your computer, while it's loading BIOS tap the F8 key, that will open a menu. Use the up and down arrow keys to select Safe mode. Once safe mode has loaded there will be a login name Administrator, open that click yes, then open control panel and change your users password. Then restart. If you have any problems with these instructions please let me know, so I can attempt to make them a little clearer.

Hope this helps,

Cant login to computer because I forgot the admin password. i can sign in as guest with limited access.please help me

Boot your computer into Safe Mode. It sometimes varies, but the typical way on most WinXP

based machines is to strike the F8 key during P.O.S.T. Once the drivers load you need to

PROMPT. A new window will appear.

At command prompt, type "control userpasswords2" and press Enter to open the Windows 2000-style User Accounts application.

On the Users tab, clear the Users Must Enter A User Name And Password To Use This Computer check box and then click OK.

In the Automatically Log On dialog box that appears, type the user name and password for the account you want to be
logged on each time you start your computer.

This is also an opportunity to set a new Administrator password.

1. Log on with the account you have now.
2. Go to Start -> Run and type: cmd
3. When the CMD prompt opens, type the following:

net user Administrator <any password>

4. Press enter. A message should appear. Something like task completed or operation succesfull.

5. Close the screen, log off user.

6. Try logging in as Administrator again.

Where <any password> should be replaced with the password of your choice and types without the brackets. Also mind the spaces between the words. CMD assumes the word after the user accounts name is the password, but only when the user accounts name and the password are seperated by a space.

I hope this will answer your question, please don't forget to rate this solution.
