Question about Kodak EasyShare M853 Digital Camera

1 Answer

I have a Kodak Easy Share camera. Every time I put in the Kodak battery, the battery slowly loses power whether the camera is on or off. I have gone through three batteries. I bought a UBS cord and Kodak plug to charge the batteries and it also doesn't work. Any suggestions?

Kodak easy share is frozen on the Easy share page

Remove the battery and the memory card, and disconnect from computer, now push power and hold for at least 60 seconds to reset the processor ic, install memory card and battery, turn on camera settings should return to normal, if not! the systems control board is the problem.

Battery life of kodak easy share is 2 pictures ... if that

Please check what type of batteries are these.
Z1085 will only work with LITHIUM AA's, Lithium CRV3 (you have to make sure it's not Ni-mh crv3) and a rechargeable KLIC 8000 Lithium-ion battery pack (the blue one). It will not work with any other type of rechargeable battery but KLIC 8000. If you're trying to use ni-mh rechargeables, it will really not work.

Your fix could be as simple as cleaning the camera's battery contacts, or it could be something more serious and expensive. Before you pay for expensive repairs that you may or may not need, check the Kodak Help Center by clicking on the link below. It uses a simple Q&A format to diagnose problems and propose solutions.

I have Kodak Easy Share CX7430. I have put in new

Enilra, sounds to me like you might have the button that takes the photo stuck in the down position. Without turning on the power, put you finger on the button and press down on it while you move wiggle your finger around. Get a good look at the button and see if You Can See If The Button is returning to the UP Position. Withour seeing your camera in person this would be my guess.

This is for the c713 kodak easy share, couldn't find it on the index.

YOU DIDN'T SAY, BUT I WOULD GUESS THAT WHEN YOU TURNED THE CAMERA BACK ON THE BATTERY WAS DEAD? THIS IS ONE POSSIBLE REASON TO LOSE MEMORY, EVEN THOUGH THE MEMORY CARD SHOULD HOLD YOUR DATA. YOU MIGHT POSSIBLY HAVE A FAULTY MEMORY CARD ALSO. ALSO REMOVING THE MEMORY CARD AND REINSERTING IT CAN SOMETIME CAUSE IT TO LOSE MEMORY. ALL POSSIBLES, BUT TRY USING JUST THE INTERNAL MEMORY OF THE CAMERA, WHICH IS SMALL, BUT SEE IF THE SAME THING HAPPENS DOING THIS. IF NOT, I WOULD SUSPECT THE MEMORY CARD IF IT HAPPENS MORE THAT ONCE. THEY DO FAIL ONCE IN AWHILE. THE KODAK HAS A SETTING THAT LETS YOU SELECT INTERNAL MEMORY OR SD CARD. TRY THAT AND SEE WHAT HAPPENS. IT'S BEST TO JUST GET IN THE HABIT OF DOWNLOADING PHOTO'S WHEN YOU GET BACK TO YOUR COMPUTER AND NOT TAKING A CHANCE AT LOSING SHOTS. I CARRY MY LAPTOP WHEN I'M AWAY FROM THE HOUSE FOR ANY TIME JUST FOR THAT PURPOSE.
