My motorola rival A455 cell phone got droped in water

try this :
This works on most mini electronic devices like cellular phones and degital cameras etc .

it sounds crazy .

Remove the back (or Cover ) of the phone( or Camera ), battery, and SIM if your phone ( or Device ) uses one , DIRECTLY
.

Then, with a q-tip (or something similar), dab the connection points (shiny, goldish) on the battery, SIM, and phone. This should aid in drying.

Finally, place all contents in a bag of uncooked rice (separately, do not put back together just yet). it sounds crazy , but it draws the moisture out.

It normally is working after just 7-8 hours, but I would wait 12 hours or even 24 hours before attempting to use (just to be sure).

beware the water damage, despite being dry now, will void any warranties. Also, the phone's hardware is now weakened and if you drop it, the green mother board and circuitry could shatter - so be more careful.

This does work on electronic devices aside from phones as well. Simply tailor it to your device. If you do not have a SIM (Verizon phones, cameras, all others), remove only the battery. If you have an iPhone/iPod or GPS and cannot remove the battery, simply make sure it is all the way off, then put it in the rice bag. All electronic devices react the same to the rice trick.

I droped my ipod in water and it wont work

Hi!

Ok..well you probably don't need to be an expert to know that you might be in a bit of trouble here.

If it doesn't work & you don't have insurance to cover it..you can try a couple of things because your warranty is likely void anyway.
  • If possible open your ipod's case.
The more open you can make it the better. Remove anything that you feel you can safely put back together afterwards.
  • Next, put your Ipod in a container of rice (dry of course).
Rice is extremely effective at absorbing water & will often extract water even from under the screen. If you don't have any rice..kitty litter works as well.
  • Leave it for anything up to a couple of days (depending just how wet it got) & try turning it on again.
This method is by no means guaranteed but it's saved my **** on a couple of occasions with mobile phones & yes, an ipod (so i feel your pain).

I've also got a tech friend of mine that dipped his mobile in a cup of rubbing alcohol before laying it on some paper towel for a day. Worked a treat for him but I'd recommend it as a last resort.

Hope this helps!

The light on my ipod touch dose not turn on?

hold the sleep button for about 5-6 seconds and restart it. Try that a few times, and then if that does not work, connect it to the computer and hit the 'restore' button and see if it will restore the light. Try to charge it also, sometimes that will help.

Droped in water now it dosen't work

Try leaving it in a DRY bowl of rice over night. I'ved used that solution on a phone as well as an ipod. Both still worked after the water damage. Make sure the Sansa is completely covered in the rice though. It needs to be under for about 8 hours total. This will help remove any remaining moisture in the unit. After it is dry, if it still does not work; you have a hardware issue and will either need to get it serviced or replaced. I do hope this article is helpful to you though.

I pod got wet wont work

Ipon the ipods case up. then Put the ipod in a zip lock bag full of uncooked raw white rice. seal the bag and leave it in there for 2 days. rice absorbs water. it should dry it up.
dont try to plug the ipod in or it will fry the circuit and you will destroy it.

My ipod nano chromatic ha water damage from the washer

Sometimes if you leave it sit for several days or so it will dry out completely and start to work again. I don't recommend charging it or plugging it in for several days or so as if there is still water in it, it may fry some of the chips. It may be beyond repair though.
