You can order a new or used powersupply and swap it out. From my experience when people do this it only blows the powersupply and nothing really critical.

If you like living on the edge and you're handy with a screwdriver, you might be able to check the glass fuse inside the powersupply, but I wouldn't recommend it to any first-timer.

How to fix couple of DELL desktops where I plugged them into 220 volts Power supply when they were set for 110 volts? More details below.

you could try replacing the power supply. if it still does not work, you probably fried the processor or motherboard. (or both). just make sure the replacement power supply has the same type of connectors on the power leads to the motherboard, hard drive, etc.

Hello My wife plugged our weslo G-30 into 220 voltage she heard a sound after that I tried to switch it on it is working but with a noisy sound Can I know how to fix that sound

Dear Sir:

You probllem is bizarre. Since I do not know if you machine is for 110 or 220 vac. LETS SEE the alternatives:

1) if the machine is for 110vac, if was connect in 220Volts, the filter, switch, motor and other elements can be explosive and burn when was connects to 220volts.You must get some help from some service Tech.

2) if the machine was working for 220 vca, and your wife connect in 220 volts, the problem was the main motor, or filter, or transformer, or main motor board faulty. Again is better that you get some help from some Service Tech.

However, if you can RUN the software calibration you will get diagnose, and troubleshooting, and fix.

sincerely. God bless you

Hp pavilion a705w - blue power light flashing, won't turn on

On the back of the power supply there is a 120/220 V AC selector switch.
It's possible that switch got knock on the wrong voltage position.

Pull the power cable. Move the switch back and forth between the two position.
Make sure you leave the switch in the correct selection. 120v = USA
If you have time, open the case and inspect the RAM module(s) and card(s). They can be un-sitted.
plug in power cord and power on the pc.

How I can convert 110volts to 220 voltage in Craftsman charger 145301 because in the Peru country we use 220 v. thanks.

_Some_ chargers will allow a range of input voltages. This will probably be "Input: 100-240V" or something like that written on the charger. __You need to be sure__. Others may have a switch from one voltage to the other. The trick here is to make sure the switch is in the right position. In both cases you may also need a plug pin adapter. If the charger you have has neither of those abilities then you either need to get a different charger from Craftsman, or get a voltage converter, which will give both the right plug for your wall sockets and convert from 220V (from your wall) to 110V (to the charger). Unless the charger has voltage range or a switch, you can't just use a simple plug pin adapter.

I bought this computer in japan and has following power specification: 100-110v 6A and 200-240v 3A . wondering if it can be used without any problem in singapore?

Hi,

If you don't know whether your devices can handle European electrical systems check the capacity of your devices and appliances before traveling. A gadget that has a dual voltage system usually indicates a 110-220 voltage, which means that you can use it in both American and European plugs and sockets.

Since your computer has "DUAL VOLTAGE" system it can be used any where in the world.

Converting from 220 to 110 volts

Most brands of air comperssors are built to work on either 220 or 110 v. I believe that 220 v compressors are more efficient and draw less current and run cooler.
The more expensive compressors have a switch allowing for voltage selection. Still others will have a wiring diagram printed on the motor allowing voltage change by changing jumpers. Most all of the sears compressors that I have repaired were of single voltage with no other way to change except change motor. Do not worry however, you have the better motor. It is easier to convert the outlet plug to 220 by isolating the circuit and installing a 220 v breaker. enjoy

Gateway computer 220volts

Hello.
If that is a desktop PC, you should look for a switch right next to the ac cord connector must the times it is red, you can use a screwdriver to set it to 115 V.( it moves laterally)
Otherwise you can change the power supply, if that is the case, tell me and i would help you to know what to look for.

if it is a laptop simply buy another adapter( 120V to whatever the input voltage of the laptop is).

i hope this help you.

HP laptops power supply

Well, as a rule for electronics:
The United States and Canada use 110-volt electricity.
Most countries outside North America use 220-volt electricity.
Unless your appliance is dual voltage, you need to use a "converter" or a "transformer" to change the 220-volt electricity into 110-volt electricity in order to use a 110-volt appliance.
If your appliance is dual voltage, you can switch it to work on 220-volts, without a transformer or converter.

HOWEVER

Desktop units have a selector switch for 110 / 220 volts., which is done away with in the case of laptop one's which sense the input voltage and regulate accordingly.

I think your main concern is just that you have an adapter for the plug to go into the wall outlet.

Hope that helps :)
