I could not locate your exact model for a manual. This machine's manual is very similar. Please read the operating and "How To Start" instructions inside the manual. They can tell you better than I.

Hello,
My name is Dane and I am going to try to help you solve your problem.

I believe that you have clogged jets/passages inside of your carburetor. This can happen when an engine gets little use, allowing the fuel in the system to get old and begin breaking down. If fuel is left in a Carb for more than a year, it can eventually turn into a jelly like consistency, and clog the fuel system. What I believe is happening in your case is that the float needle inside the Carb is not allowing gas to enter the carb fast enough to keep up with demand. That's why it will run for 10 minutes and then shut down. After it sits for a while, the float bowl slowly fills back up and it will run for 10 more minutes.

Now for the bad news. This is an extremely difficult carb to work on. It is all I can do to get these Carbs off an engine and back on again to clean them. They are tough because you have a big air filter housing and 2 long bolts with gaskets and then the carb itself and spacers, that you have to hold together as a unit and start the bolts holding the carb to the engine. If you are a good enough mechanic to do this, you will already know how to do it. If not, I honestly suggest you take it to a shop and let them clean it for you. A new Carb isn't all that expensive, so you may want to consider just letting them replace it instead of cleaning.

I hope I've helped. If you found this information useful, please leave feedback as deserved. Thank you! Dane

Cleaned the float bowl which was dirty, blew out the jet, replaced old gas - still runs for 5 seconds and then quits.

You need to take the carb off and clean it out real good.i would suggest soaking it in mineral spirits and blowing it out with air.take a bread tie and strip it.then you can take the tie and clean the passage way,s in carb.if that don,t work try rebuilding or replacing carb.I hope this helps.Dale

22 In Craftsman Self propelled.Starts easy, runs good for about 15-20 mins. Starts missing and dies. Will start again in about 30 mins New spark plug/ air filter

Oh my, that is so annoying. There is probably dirt in the carb. or the gas tank. What I think happens is, the dirt gets sucked up into the fuel line and clogs the carb, then when the mower sits for a while the dirt goes back into the tank for another couple minutes. I have absolutely no tolerance for this when it happens.

it sounds like a gumed up carb strip the carb and clean out all the running jets with carb cleaner,,,dont go poking wire into the jets you will only distroy them,,,also check that the air cleaner is clear if its cloged up the engine cant breeth and wont rev up and it will be running very ritch as well,,,check you have good flow of fule from the fule tank,,,winter takes its toll on garden tools that are stood up most of the time

Motor has to be cranked alot to start and then when you push up on the throttle for more power it runs just above an idle , and dosent rev up all the way

Your carb. might be out of adjustment. There is a rod and another rod with a spring on it going from the carb. 2 an arm on the side of the motor. With the motor running, push the arm a little towards the carb. If it revs up, its out of adjustment, if not, you have a dirty or bad carb. Clean or replace the carb. If that doesn't work, your keyway might be cut or broke. The keyway is what keeps the motor in time so everything works together. Like a timing chain or belt on a car. Good luck.
