Thanks, but that's not it. Printing in best photo mode, sRGB, right paper choice, ink cartridges good...something just isn't right. No matter how much I saturate and adjust curves in photoshop, photo comes out not quite right.

Check in the Printer's Properties that you have not gone into a Draft Mode. This uses less ink, but gives the symptoms that you describe.

So you are using Photoshop to try and achieve colour saturation? Try and print a Test Sheet, see if the colours are rich in that?

Does that Printer have a Reset command in Properties. That is a comand that sets the printer back to factory defaults. Sometimes disconnecting the printer from the wall outlet and the computer will do this.

Acer Aspire 8920 screen image is good but prints very dark -

I'm sure you haven't used all printers. Anyway, are you printing color images such as pictures, etc. If so try using a glossy paper. The colors and images are much more true colors on glossy paper, and it don't **** up your ink.

Hi. there is an alignment problem with my canon pixma ip90 printer. I haven't used it for years and finally decided to take it out. changed the ink cartridges, and the alignment problem started. Please...

Go to Control panel. Click on Printer and Faxes. Right click on your printer icon. Click on Properties on the drop don menu. In the properties click on Maintenance Tab. Click on print-head alignment on the drop down menu/tab. Check the printed page after the alignment is completed. If not OK carry it on again till you get the right print.

My c65 prints photo all dimmer

Set up a picture with basic squares of colour using a graphics program such as Powerpoint. Print this picture. Does the printed picture look like the picture on the screen. If not, uninstall the printer, reboot, and re-install it. Try again - still no good? You need to get a technician to look at your printer.

If this basic colour check works OK, take a photograph of the printed picture and load it into the computer. Compare it with the original on the screen. The same? No - it's a camera problem - Yes? - OK now print the camera version. Any sign of this dimming? Yes - it's a printer problem - get a technician, as before. No? - I'm baffled why you think you have a problem?

Dark streaks

Dark streaks are an indication of "burned" or overheated ink. This will occur when the printer sets for a long period of time and nothing is printed. The problem will usually disappear after 50 pages or so, unless the printhead is damaged.

If the print remains dark, the printhead will need replaced.
(Very expensive)

(Dark print can also be caused by using Non-Xerox ink)
