Question about Computers & Internet
Hello and welcome to Fixya.. If you have just installed a new hardrive, then you will need to install a operating system onto the hardrive as well.. If you have your recovery disk that shipped with the computer then they might work to reinstall the OS.. If you dont have those, you will need a windows install disk, preferably the same version of windows you had previously loaded on your computer, that way you wont have to purchase a new product key for windows. On the bottom of your laptop, or the back of your desktop, you should have a microsoft windows certificate of authenticity with a 25 character code on it. You will need that code to install windows again. As far as your machine giving you that error, there are only two reasons that error would come up, either the hard-drive is damage, or the hard drive has no OS. There are no other reasons.. So reinstall windows on the new hard-drive, and you shouldnt have any more issues.. IF you have any more questions, please feel free to respond!
