HI
You have a stripped thumbscrew. Check the top left side of the brew unit. The thumbscrew is the little rod that sticks out of the top of the center part of the brew head. If there is water in the center cavity that's your problem. If you push down on the rod and check your brerw head screen on the other end it is probably pushed out a little. Pry the screen out, and you should see a barrel nut in the middle of the screw stem. Pull the thumbscrew out from the other end.
The plastic rod that has 2 small hooks on the end and has ribs around the opposite end is your thumbscrew. There is suppose to be a small round nut that is molded into the position between the legs with the hooks. If you use the key to tighten the thumbscrew you will pull the nut out and then the thumbscrew will pop out of the brew head. Check the stem of the filter screen. If you have an item about that is about 3/8 of an inch long and has a grove in the middle and small bumps on it, that’s the nut. You need a new thumbscrew. Remove the old nut on the stem before putting it in the new thumbscrew. Remember it’s a thumbscrew, so it only needs to be finger tight. The key is for removing only.

My Saeco Xsmall stops before brewing the coffee

1- The grind fineness setting is too fine. Pump is not able to pump through the compacted coffee grounds.

2- The machine is not descaled. The Calcium deposits in the hydraulic system have reduced the pump pressure. The partially clogged water passages can generate a back pressure to reduce pumping pressure. Was the machine descaled in the past two or three moths? If yes, what was the descaling product used?
3- The pump may be air locked and not able to pump water.
4- Oily beans may have been used. Oily beans are poison for the all fully automatic espresso machines. This clogs the grinding chamber or the grinder outlet. This model is made in Romania made in 2006 or after. This machine has a Ceramic Burr grinder 2006 which is a huge problem to clean adjust beans quantity per shot of espresso etc. etc. Occasionally it will dump dry coffee grounds when the quantity of beans powder is insufficient.

Based on the above details, you can figure out what is wrong and fix it. See the exploded parts diagram included, for help. Services Unlimited Inc Parts Guru Since 1988

Re Saeco Magic Comfort+ coffee maker - machine notes that there are no beans in chamber when there are, and the grinding mechanism runs at about half the usual sound. I've removed the screws and clean

If the machine at some predetermined time is not filled with ground coffee a volumetric container it stops.
1. Check if the knives rotating.
2. Look if the ground coffee falls in grup while it is milling. If you left the volumetric tank open.
3.Maybe the knives mechanism is not at the right possition.

My Saeco Magic Deluxe machine just stopped grinding. Everything else seems to be working just fine. I'm assuming it's mechanical and something simply broke but want to ask first and if something broke...

Does it sound like it is trying to grind or is it silent? Listen carefully after pressing the coffee button. If it is silent then the motor has most likely died or the thermal fuse on the motor has blown due to motor overload and overheating.
If you can hear a faint humming, then the grinder may just be blocked (or the dosing chamber located between grinder and brew unit (above brew unit) may be blocked). First try backing off the grind to the coarsest setting. Even if you can't hear the motor, it is worth backing off the grind anyway (easy to do) as you may be lucky. To clear doser, remove brew unit and look up. You shold see a curved trap door like thing that you can swing up to release or poke out stuck ground coffee.
If the machine instantly makes that 'tuka tuka' sound after hitting the coffee button (like it does when it is dumping the coffee after grinding) then the flap or micro switch in the dosing chamber is stuck. Move the dose (grind quantity) adjustment lever back and forth a few times.
If these suggestions don't help then take it to an authorised or expert repairer.

My saeco magic deluxe, doesn't make coffee all the time, it seams the brew group arm is not riseing and the coffee gets dumped in the tray

Sounds like early stage of stripped gears in Gear assembly or faulty Main electronic board. These are the 2 most common problems.

I put ground coffee and it doesnt come out only water.. is it my brewing unit ??

If you are putting the ground coffee into the little override container for decaf coffee I had the same problem because I was using a bit too much ground coffee so it dumped it out rather than making a cup. Once I ensured that I was using one level scoop only, not more, it worked.

My Saeco magic grinds the beans, but no coffee comes out. Sometimes it makes one cup, and skips. Other times, I grind the equivalent of 8 cups of coffee without any cups of coffee coming out.

HI
When a machine grinds but doesn't make any coffee there are a couple of things.
If the grounds are wet in the dredge drawer, then you have a plugged brew head and need to clean it.
If the grounds are dumped dry into the dredge drawer, then you have an overcharge and need to adjust the dosing lever back from the full charge. On your machine it is inside the door at the top center. Pull the lever back towards the front 1 click. Then try again.

Happens when the preground coffee is not ground fine enough, you may have to put the pre ground coffee in a manual coffee grinder to make it finer. The machine is not really designed to brew regular coffee grounds.
