This sounds like the optical block. It will need to be replaced. If you go to Sony's website and navigate to the service section you will find info about this and pictures to look at. Sony has extended the warranty on these tv's so you'll need a Sony ASC to do the repair. You first need to contact Sony. There cust service # is on their website. Good Luck

It is light engine that is going bad and causing blue haze/ clouds etc.
It is an expensive part, and I would recommend a new TV instead of its repair.
Thanks.

You have a problem within the light engine. This a hugely expensive. If the set is not too old you could contact Sony and see if they will help you out. Otherwise it is not eceonomical to repair

Zenith D60WLCD with blue haze over entire picture

throw the set away!the part required to repair the set is the optical engine.Zenith made alot of these sets with defective engine assemblies in wich the lcd filters burn, which cannot be replaced. The labor is also silly.Theunitrequires a complete teardown for replacment. You could buy a very nice new set for the repair bill

Green dot in middile of my screen

The green dot in the center sounds like a burn mark on one or more of the picture tubes inside the set, and the curved lines are telling me that you have a problem in the convergence circuits. The blue haze around everything white tells me you either have a lot of dust build up on the lens over the CRTs, or your picture tube(s) are very weak. If this set is over about 12 years old, I would replace it. I doubt if you will be able to get the green dot out of the picture without changing the tubes which would be VERY expensive.
