Hi.
I went on Egypt and I get a lot of photo.
Some of them (4 of 158) are red and strange.
I attach a reduced pic as sample.

I think that camera has some problems. On some pics there are some rows on it, as you can see on this 100% format detail.

    Any idea ?

    Tnx,

    A.

Solved: On March my camera didn't do any photo: I did't see anything on LCD display. All was black with some white vertical row. I gave my camera on a Canon Camera Service and they have changed my CCD sensor. Some of them are defected. They reapired it for free. Now it works fine! Thank's Canon!!!

IThis is a CCD image sensor problem. My camera was fixed for nothing by Canon service centre. See Solution 4 at this website:

The service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
Good luck!

Take no more pics until you've recovered your photos, take the card out of the camera. This is to reduce the chance of you overwriting some of your "lost" photos. There are many good freeware photo recovery software options that may help you recover your photos. This article reviews and outlines several of the better ones:

I have recently taken pics at three different stage shows for children. The lighting was bright on one but the other two there wasn't a lot of lighting. I have a Nikon D40X with a SB-600 flash on. ...

Red-eye is caused by the light from the flash reflecting from the back of the eye. There are several ways to eliminate or at least reduce the effect. One, as you've done, is to edit the photo after it's been taken. The red-eye reduction feature of the camera shines a light at the subject, causing the pupils to contract and thus reduce the reflection from the eyes.

A good way is to move the flash away from the camera. This causes the red reflection to go toward the flash, not the camera. Unfortunately, the D40x lacks the Commander mode to control remote flashes. Instead, you can use something like the SC-29 cord to move the flash away from the camera.

Another possibility to consider is to not use the flash at all. Bump up the ISO and see whether there's enough light for existing-light photography.

Dell 720 color cartridge doesn't seem to be printing with enough 'green'...all pics tinted red. New cartridge. Is is possible to balance the color any better?

Run a "print-head-cleaning" cycle -- some of the ink-jets may be clogged, thus reducing the amount of ink reaching the paper.

Try "photo-quality" paper.

When I send an image in outlook express, it is received by others as a red x.

Today's high resolution digital cameras produce multi Megabyte photos. These are great for printing but cause a heavy burden when sending over the Internet.

Shrink Pic allows you to send dozens of photos as email attachments - quickly and with no effort at all!

All you need to do is install Shrink Pic. It automatically detects when you're sending large photo files and compresses them in the background.

There's no setup, no operating instructions, nothing, nada. Just send your photos normally and Shrink Pic takes care of shrinking them.

Also, make sure you get no errors when sending out the email in outlook express.

Some of my pics are great but most are awful

Are you pressing the shutter button half-way and allowing the camera to lock in focus before you press the rest of the way? Red-eye is common to all point-and-shoot cameras because the flash is almost in line with the lens. This can be removed with many photo programs. Your camera has a red-eye setting which pre-flashes to eliminate the red-eye effect.

Camera memory card errors/computer doesn't recognize

Can you get a memory card reader that works for a Mac? If so then loading pic's to the 'puter through that route Flashing red and green lights have a meaning- what does the manual say?[Check the more comprehensive manual on the Software disk] You could buy[or borrow] another card- nothing wrong with having more that one. Also try the card in another camera and a fresh card in yours[Take it a photo shop to try this]
