I was afraid of that . That fix is a little tuffer to remedy. The scaler chip( ANA/HANA chip has either failed causing the video sink to skew or one of the regulators for that chip is dead .I repaired one box that had those symptoms and it fortunately was the 3.3 volt regulator and two 100uf caps but the unit then came on with what else 3 red lights and ofcoarse the customer didn't tell me before it went out he had Red ring of death so I fixed that problem. I lost time/money on that repair so I tend to shy away from the time and expense of trying to repair boxes with secondary problems . he also had wrap it with towel to over heat it to fix the problem himself that just made it worse. for me. if you have any questions feel free to ask me Rob

Make sure that your tv is on the av setting(or hdmi what ever the input is) also make sure the input is working by testing it with another device (dvd player, etc) If you are getting snowy picture you could be on the analogue tv channel. Good luck.

What does the snowflake mean on a Honeywell thermostat in cooling mode. Also had the problem in the heating mode.

The snowflake means it's cooling. If the outdoor unit is not running then the problem is likely outside.

I have a 2006 Jetta that flashes a snowflake and sounds a bell every time it gets below a certain temperature outside.

It is probably warning you that it is cold enough to have ice on the road if there is moisture.

HAIER CPN11XCJ new, doesn't blow cold

There are three settings. If you have it on FAN, it won't blow cold. The raindrop picture is for dehumidifying, and the snowflake picture is the setting for COLD. If you shut the unit off and on too quickly, it takes a minute or two to cycle back to cool.
* Make sure the 'snowflake' setting/picture is selected...

Snowflake blinking and air conditioner won't turn on.

If it is blinking it is in a 5 minute time delay.
It should settle to a steady snowflake after 5 minutes and come on normally.
