Faults to all LCD & Plasma screen are similar, irrespective of its brand and screen size.
hi all .ive had the same problem,a thick black line down

view.but i have solved it.forget your ic boards and taking apart tv.have
you got either a ps3 or wii connected to tv.if so unplug power lead
from socket and relocate in seperate socket.make sure the lead is
completely free of any other leads and you might just find this works.i
think the power lead creates some sort of frequency that the tv picks up

Are these lines on both side of the screen or what location are they in? They can be caused by watching 4:3 television with the black bars on both sides. Watching 16:9 full screen HD wont cause issues with that. If only on the sides there is not much you can do except put a pure white screen on the TV and leave that on for at least 6 hours. This will age the panel a little but in theroy wil even the pixel burn you have to make the lines less noticable. Please take a few moments to rate my answer. Thank you
Firstly , try to restore factory settings [unlikely to work , but it may] , but this is normally a flex fault , or some bizarre software glitch. Have seen a few fluid damaged lcd's do this as well, but your unit was brand new I assume? Most likey a warranty job I am afraid... Cheers
normally the line down the center can mean that the lcd has become disconnected from the driver circuit. or that the driver circuit its self which is mounted to the edge of the lcd has blown out some of the drivers, it is not usually the video sync circuit that is bad in this case because the whole screen would tend to be dead.
You will need to describe what you see on the LCD in more detail in order for me to tell you what the problem is. There are two different issues that can cause things like what you are seeing.
1: Cracked LCD. You will see lines which resemble cracked glass. You will see bright vivid colors with specks of black or stark white all over. The image problems may be only in one portion of the screen. The LCD is made of glass, so if you look closely and see patterns that look like broken glass - this is your issue. Replace the LCD.
2: Bad LCD connection. You will see distorted colors, the screen may blank out and flicker when you shake the camera or press on the housing near the screen.
If neither of these describe what you are seeing, post back and give more details and I will respond further.
