You might also try
Oil System Plugged.

  1. Remove the clutch cover, bar, and chain, clean the bar groove, any holes and passages on the rear of the bar (both sides, consider rotating the bar) Clean the saw’s oiler hole and channel. Start the saw and see if it oils when revved up. If yes reassemble your saw. If no, continue with 2.
  2. Insert a blunted, hooked piece of wire through the oil filler hole and pull the hose in the oil tank out (clean or replace, difficult to determine serviceability). Work your way through the linkage cleaning and replacing any defective parts as you go. Carefully check the hoses for cracks especially at bends and connections. If equipped with an oil pump it is usually behind the clutch (clutch is probably left handed thread). Please make extensive notes & some digital pictures will help during reassembly. GL

If step 1 produces no oil my best guess is your oil pump isn't working. It is behind the clutch (left handed thread). You can contact Stihl for an IPL (propriatry and not available on line) that has some oil system detail. It is probably a low cost repair by your local Stihl shop. Lou

Original parts diagram for stihl ts400

I found a parts diagram for a Stihl TS400 CutQuick concrete saw here: http://www.sawagain.com/stihl-concrete-saws-1/ . The direct link to the parts diagram is http://www.hellumdiamant.com/filarkiv/File/Sthil/ts400.pdf . I found some of the parts shown in the user manual as well. The manual is available here: https://www.stihlusa.com/WebContent/CMSFileLibrary/instructionmanuals/TS400_Manual.pdf . See page 44 for that parts diagram.

I hope this helps.

My chain wont tighten on my stihl 044 chainsaw

Assuming you have the right length chain and its not just running out of adjustment, it would then probably be a stripped or snapped chain adjuster. Can be coursed when the bar nuts aren't dun up before starting to cut, the force of the chain saw will snap an adjuster no problems. If its striped it might smear like its adjusting in but when it gets to a point it will just stop

Oil not goingg to the bgar

Have you cleaned the oiling hole in the guide bar.? Scrape out the full length of the guide bar using a cleaning tool. There is an oiling hole at the back of the bar on either side which the oil flows into.

Is oil being pumped out the saw.? Remove side casing and guide bar, run the saw and check the flow.

How do you start a STIHL MS460 chainsaw

I am a Stihl mechanic. The proper starting procedure is to set the switch to full choke. Pull the starter rope no more than three times. Now raise the switch up one notch and pull it till it starts. Stihl products will flood if pulled more than three times with the choke on. Thanks, George

Cannot find oil regulator on stihl 024

There is no oil "regulator" only an oiler with a screw that adjusts the flow, that is found below the saw, and is fit for a slotted screwdriver.

I would say it is flooding, you realy need to pressure test the carb to check the seating of the inlet needle, a simple bulb tester is all you need, connect it to the fuel inlet on the carb ( where the fuel hose is connected ), pump approx 2/3 psi into the carb, it should hold this steady with no leak, any leaks then you will have to fit a new inlet needle, let us know how the test goes.
