My Maytag washer will agitate but it will not spin. Model # pav2300

These Maytags have 2 belts one drives the pump and the other is for the agitator. You've probably got a belt that got hot and now is not turning.
Pull the front cover of the machine off by removing the 2 phillips screws at the kickpanel area of the front cover, then tip the bottom edge out until the panel drops free of the top edge retaining clips..
You then can reach under the machine and by pushing the motor towards the center of the washing machine, you can disconnect and inspect the belts.
It's best to replace them both so you're starting fresh.

Typically if the washer is loaded full and a sock or other small item of clothes is on top, it can get spun out of the drum and in between the inner and outer drum and can even end up getting sucked into the pump. With the panel open, you'll be able to inspect the motor for blockage.
The pump is in the front right corner and is opaqe so you can see if it's blocked or not without removing hoses... great Maytag innovation..
If you need to remove blockage from the pump, remember that the water in the hoses and drum will want to drain when you remove the clamps to pull hoses.
Crimp the hose with radiator hose pliers to shut the water flow, and use a pair of needlenose pliers to reach in the pump and pull out the blockage if needed.
Replace the belts and then run the machine through a cycle.

Hi my washer does not drain properly. I think it used to pump the water out then spin the tub, but now the tube spins slowly when it is trying to pump the water out. Could something inside the transmission...

I would start with the simple possiblities first.
Remove the front cover (look for 2 phillips screws at the bottom of the front cover) Once you pull the screws, pull the bottom of the front cover forward until it disengages the two top retainer clips. This will expose the interior of the machine.
The pump is at the bottom right and has the hose from the drum attached and the other hose goes out the back of the machine.
The pump is opaque plastic and you can see if there's something jammed in the pump ( like a small sock). If it's "sucked a sock" it will jam the pump and will cause the drive belts (under the machine) to burn, stretch and not pump the water out. You can replace the belts by simply reaching under the machine and moving the electric motor a little.
If you've cleared the pump and changed the belts, try running the machine through a cycle with the front cover off and see if you've solved the problem..
with Maytag, this is usually the solution... If you're still not draining, you may have a small clothing article in between the inner tub and the outer tub... this will eventually block the drain on the outer tub and prevent water from getting pumped out..
You can use a straightened out coat hanger with a small hook bent on one end, take the top onf the machine loose (2 machine bolts hold the front corners down and tip it back away from the machine case. This will allow you to take the top cover off the outer drum exposing the space between the inner and outer drums. Take your "fishing rod" coat hanger and fish between the two drums on the right side near the drain hole... Most times you can snag and remove the blockage and pull it out.
Hope this solves your issue.. please let us know if we can help you further ...

GE washing macine stops during the wash cycle

This is exactly what my machine was doing, as well. I fixed it by cleaning out the filter in front of the water pump.

Searching here, I found that you can remove the lower front panel (three screws along the bottom edge is all it takes) to get to the filter. With the panel removed, you'll see a round white plastic cover (about 3-4 inches diameter) that screws out. Get a bucket under the cover to catch the water that's in it (could be 2 quarts or more) and unscrew the cover.

The cover pulls out, revealing that is actually a screw-in plastic strainer. I found tons of coins, broken pens, paper clips, etc. in mine when I did this. A lot will be deep inside the black rubber hose that connects this filter housing to the washer drum. You can rake the stuff out with a bent wire clothes hanger. Shaking the black hose will help hurry the junk along and out of your machine. Screw the cover back on after the clean out and your machine should go back to normal.

Thinking about it, front loaders will have lots of small items flushed into the pump compared to top loaders. Coins you alway found in the bottom of the drum in a top loader, they all wind up in the filter of a front loader. And once it slow the drainage to a crawl the machine will shut down multiple times when it can't drain the water out completely, and it will never step up to it's max spin speed with all that water still in the drum.

Washer won't drain or spin at 6mintues put if i go to drain only and spin only it works

What type and brand of machine? top loading/ front loading? Do you typically load it heavily? or more average sized loads?
Sounds like you may have sucked a sock or other small clothing item into the pump.
If you can remove the front cover of the machine, you can access the innards and expose the pump. Some units have clear plastic pumps and you can see if there's something in it..
If nothing's in the pump, it could be something is between the inner perforated drum and the outer drum... this would allow things to spin and not drain when the culprit sock or whatever covers the drain hole (located at the top of the hose that connects to the pump.
Removal is tricky not to make a huge mess.. if it's in the pump, you can clamp the hose shut and keep the water in the drum while you remove the obstruction. still will backwash out of the pump..
If it's in the drum, If you can remove the top of the machine, and if there's a top on the drum, you'll need to remove that as well. Then take a piece of a coat hanger with a small hook bent on the end and go fishing between the tanks... you sometimes can pull out the obstruction...
Hope this helps... let me know Good luck

When spining it makes very loud noise , like aeroplane when start

It definately sounds like the drum bearings have failed.
It is a DIY job, but not easy, as it entails stripping the m/c down,
If it is under 5 years old, then it should be covered by a 5year warranty., you will just have to pay for the labour, certainly the cheapest option.

Front loading washing machine is having leakage problem

You need to work out where the water is coming from, either the front, back left or right hand side to give you an idea what/where to look.
Front - Open the door and check the door seal (usually grey rubber round the door) look for splits, chaffing, damage.

Rear - check the connection to the pump, there will be a (Black) rubber hose from the drum housing about 12-18"long, check for splits, connection etc.
Check and remove the pump itself, Isolate the electricity, to remove - disconnect the outlet hose from below the sink or upstand, lower the outlet hose to the floor and syphon off the water into a bowl from the machine, there will be some even if the machine appears empty. disconnect the plug on the pump (2 wires), disconnect the hoses from the pump (2 off) and check inside the hoses, bra wires, socks etc. look inside the pump for foreign objects, the pump can be wasily split open via 3 screws normally, refit in reverse order.

Top - remove the top cover usually 2 screws at back or side and will slide slightly to remove, check hoses to drawer and the hose below drawer to top of the drum housing, check the inlet solenoids at the back (where the water hoses connect).

hope this helps

Wasching maschine

with a little care and thin arms, remove from power supply and take off the lid, move the drum unit back from the door pushing gently with one hand while putting other hand down the gap and try to work the catch, it should be possible to just release the catch

make sure the drum is empty of water first, is that why the door didn't open? and you tried to hard, or did it just break, if so it should open
