My subwoofer has engine interferance.? When my car is turned off my sound system is perfect. When i turn the key and start the engine i get an annoying humming noise. Its coming from the engine as it intensifies as the RPM's go up. When i turn on the wipers aswel i can hear the motor noise through the speakers. I have tried many things to solve the problem. The noise seems to be coming from the radio as when I disconnect the rca cables from the separate amplifier the noise stops. I have connected my phone directly to the amp and the sound is perfect even when the car is on. I was told it may be a bad ground on the radio. I carried a wire directly from the black ground wire from the radio to the negetive of the battery. It didnt help. Any suggestions??? Thank YOu!!

Also check the rca jacks that you used be sure they are shielded. Do not run power wires and rca jacks next to each other. this will cause a magnetic field and also cause interference.

My 08impala makes knocking or a clicking sound after I remote start it and then turn key. What is the knocking or clicking sound it sounds like its coming form them where radio is at. Is that my starter...

I have heard this click. It's electrical interference. When you remote start it doesn't turn everything on like the key would. It really shouldn't do this, but it doesn;t seem to hurt anything. If you had the remote installed recently ask the company about it.

sounds like a loose connection to one of the wires in the speaker. or interference. i would try unplugging the system for a few minutes and turn them back on. also shut the sub woofer see if that helps to. let me know.

My M&S System has experienced

my M&S 302 also had similar problem.
sometimes it will turn on and turn off by itself.
I believe it is sensitive to signal and noise or signal cross-talk.
Once I pressure washed the window, the M&S system created
strange sounds. I think the wiring in the window frame gets wet and caused it. This system is very sensitive.

2004 vw Passat TDI 130bhp not starting after >8hrs

simplest answer first, and this does not apply to a hot engine,The engine heaters work from a time switch on the door(would you believe)and the routine is, open door, climb in,put on belt, put key in ignition and turn on when orange light goes out.this allows the cold start heaters time to work(about 20 secs).sounds a pain but the number of times this has been all it is,when you put key in ignition, the fuel pump charges the system.hence the squirt noise, also the car has to reccognise the key(immobiliser system)also try using wynns/redexe to clean injectors...

Error code 52 whats wrong?

Code 52 indicates an immobilizer problem.- Probably "signal interference"
This model is equipped with a selfdiagnosis device for the immobilizer system. If the immobilizer system is defective, the indicator light error code 52 could be one of those displayed. This error could be caused by signal interference.
If this occurs, try the following. 1. Use the code re-registering key to start the engine. NOTE: Make sure there are no other immobilizer keys close to the main switch, and do not keep more than one immobilizer key on the same key ring! Immobilizer system keys may cause signal interference, which may prevent the engine from starting.
2. If the engine starts, turn it off, and try starting the engine with the standard keys.
3. If one or both of the standard keys do not start the engine, take the vehicle, the code re-registering key and both standard keys to a Yamaha dealer and have the standard keys re-registered.
Hope this helps

Engine cranks car won't start

Sorry..... 1 notch off is just not good enough. It has to be exact , then if it doesn't run start looking at other posibilities.

Remember that the camshaft turns twice eash time the crank turns once. The distributor rotor works off a gear on the cam.
Your rotor could be off a bit , or it could look exactly perfect the way it was when tou took it out , and still be 180 degrees off.
You have to get your engine to "top dead center" and make sure everything is the way it should be.

A timing chain ( or belt ) can cause permanent and fatal damage to the valve train and pistons in motors that are "interference engines" Find out weather yours is. In a non-interference engine , the clearance between the valves and the pistons is large enough to alow them to move out of time without crashing into each other. An interference engine is not so forgiving.

The fact that your engine cranks makes me hopefull that it is a non interference engine , and that damage has not been done.

Try to find a haynes manual for you vehicle , it will walk you through the steps for most repairs.
