Question about Exercise & Fitness
Hello, I just sold an Ironman M2 treadmill to a lady who says its missing a leveling foot. She has the cord attached to the emergency stop but still the treadmill will start but then stops. Can you tell me if the missing leveling foot may be the issue or if there is another possible quick fix?
Most treadmill will run for a second or two but stop if the speed sensor don't pick up a speed. If the treadmill was moved there is a good possibility that the sensor is off line. Not 100% fimiliar with this particular unit but if you remove the motor cover, these are the usual places for speed sensors. The front roller- the side where belt come from the motor. The other popular place is on the motor fan. The sensor has either two or three wires with the sensor at the end. On the roller, the sensor needs to be close enough to pick up the magnet on the side of the roller. On the fan make sure the teeth are clean and sensor has a good connection. Hopefully one of these will do it for you.

Thanks, that advice pointed me in the right direction - if anyone else has same problem , I checked the sensor which was mounted beside motor fan and everthing looked ok - the distal end of the lead from the sensor to circuit board, was not easily visible as tucked under the motor - It clips into the circuit board here and that had come loose - once clipped back in , problem sorted.
