ProView PA40JK1A screen just went black one day.

1 year old ProView PA40JK1A LCD TV screen just went black one day. Could this be a bad tuner card?

No, There are two places to look for the problems, the backlight inverter board and the power supply. Look at the power supply first since it is easier to get to, look for burnt parts, bad capacitors, etc.

If your tv doesn't have a dual tuner, then you would need two separtate rf signals. Which would mean two separate cable signals.

This problems i fixed it before for other LCD tv models.The tv Tuner signal board is the causes and the problems.That the board,where the incomming broadcasting signal cable plug into it.Tries websites like Shopjimmy.com,Ebay.com to buy a refurbish Tuner signal board for the replacement.Will solved this problems.

Dropped my tv and now there are spider cracks in the screen.turns on but no picture


Sorry the LCD screen panel are damage and broken.The LCD screen panel are 90% of the tv.It limited produced,not worth repairing,if LCD screen panel are borken or damages.It will,cost the same as a new tv,if requiring to replaced the LCD screen panel.Sorry,now,ur tv does not worth as a whole tv anymore.Only worth as salvage tv for spare electronic boards for parts,that it.

Hi, there should be a setting for auto format in the menu. make sure that is turned off.
