HI is an error for freezer temperature detected as too warm... Look for frost on the back wall of freezer (defrost failure), or a failed evaporator fan (you should hear it running in the freezer compartment), if the food in the freezer is beginning to thaw, check the compressor to see if it is running. If the compressor is running, but the freezer isn't cold enough, and the evap fan is good with no frost build-up, you may have a sealed system leak (refrigerant charge is low). Frigidaires really suck in recent years and have lots of leak issues...

Frigidaire problems

Use the link below to view and read the user manual. If this is a used refrigerator it is possible that there may be a problem but it should be minor. The refrigerator section is cooled by air from the freezer. This problem is usually caused be excessive frost but you should not have frost buildup in only 24 hours.
There is also parts lists and diagrams.on the site.
I am also including a link to youtube videos about refrigerator problems.

If the defrost heating element, defrost timer or evaporater fan weren't working, you'd develop a block of ice on the evaporator. Is the compressor running? If it is, it might have bad valves from the frost buildup scenario. Liquid refrigerant could have gotten to the suction valves. The sealed system should have a five year warranty. Might be time to call a pro

My frigidaire refrigerator is not cooling anymore. The light is on. The motor is running. What is wrong?

if one of the panels in the freezer has frost on it, the evaporator coils may be iced up. this restricts the cold air flow. to defrost: empty the fridge and freezer, turn it off, remove the panel in the freezer that has the frost, use a hairdryer and defrost the ice buildup, sop up excess water, dry it up, replace the panel, turn it on (while it's empty), set the temp halfway, and close the doors. when the compressor turns off, fill the fridge. if the panels are frostless and the coils are warm, you may be out of refrigerant from a freon leak somewhere. it might be cheaper to replace the fridge.

The frig part and the freezer part are not getting cold. They get cold every two days, then gets warm for two days and then it re-peats the cycle.

Hi, check to see if both the fans are running or check and see if there is frost builing up inside the freezer. Are the condesor coils clean? These coils are located under the refrigerator near the compressor.
Please let me know if I can assist you further.

Thanks
Vic

Ice in the bottom of frigidaire side by side frost proof freezer

take all the bottom shelves and baskets out of the freezer. look at the back wall of the freezer. youll see a block of ice in a metal pan looking part at the bottom of the rear panel. there is a hole in the bottom of that pan. thats the defrost drain. its clogged. use a hair dryer to get all the ice out then use hot water to flush out the drain hole.
