Intermittent audio loss with 42 inch 2007 Sharp HD( not plasma) TV. Happens 2-4 times/hour for a second or two during most HD programs. It has gotten more frequent over the past month. We have satellite(Direct TV) and Onkyo surround sound. We checked all connections and found no loose wires/connectors.

did you elimenate the surround from the tv by just using the tv alone some unit could be causing a feed back?

if there are jacks in the back of your sanyo you can hook up 2 speakers if your sanyo do not have external audio RCA jacks for speakers...you will need a home entertainment receiver to hook up the 2 -7 speakers...

The bad news, it sounds like tou have a bad plasma panel.One of the vertical drive arrays are in the process of failing.This part is part of the display panel.

TURN OFF THE MAINS AND THEN SWITCH IT BACK ON

Depending on the location, it could be the Logic Main Board, or a buffer board
