This is the THIRD power supply to fail in 9 months. How do I send it in for Mfg Warranty replacement?

Take it back to the retail store, and get them to do the warranty-replacement.

Or, use the telephone-number and/or web-site information printed on the label of the power-supply, to contact the manufacturer.

Mfg date


Every Dell part has a label with a long serial number in the following format:
CC-PPPPPP-MMMM-DDD-SSSS

CC= 2 letters, country of origen (e,g, TH for Thailand, CN for China).
PPPPPP= 6 alphanumeric, Dell internal part number, most times starts with 0.
MMMMM= 5 numbers, Vendor ID.
DDD= Manufacturing date code
first digit= number, manufacturing year (e.g 8=2008, but on old stuff could be 1998)
second digit= alphanumeric, manufacturing month (1=January, 9=September, A=October, C=December)
Third digit= alphanumeric, manufacturing day of the month (1=1, 9=9, A=10, B=11,....and so on).
SSSS= 4 alphanumeric, serial number.

Not sure what date code you are looking at unless a "Plain Language Request" was made for that series in which case it would have been manufacturered 2020 - February (02) - 19th. Not a lot of these and I have never seen them on Dell but I guess anyting is possible

Samsung tv wont turn on


Check with Samsung first, most of their TVs and monitors come with a 3 year warranty and if you open the unit it will void the warranty.

Probably memory stick(s). Are you comfortable taking a laptop apart to get at the memory sticks? If not, take it to a repair shop BUT at 9 months old, most units have a 1 year warranty. Contact the mfg with your purchase date, etc.

Sounds like a capacitor blew in the power supply, particularly for the high voltage side. Then the power supply shutdown altogether. Sorry, but you will have to contact a service center or manufacturer for repair. Given that tv is 2 months out of warranty, the manufacture may be willing to help as a courtesy, but don't expect full coverage.

Screen has started to flicker constantly. tv is 9 months old. When switched off flickering stops for about 5-10 minutes and then starts again


I had the same issue occur on my ln55c650 and they had to replace the power supply pc-board. Seems some issue with power module in the TV rather than the side panels. Luckily for me, TV was still in warranty.

I have a power supply that died 9 months after buying it and i'm trying to find out where to send it for warrenty 5years and i bought it 3 years ago at Office Depot


Motherboard and power supply design are continually changing. Most likely, you would be best off taking the computer to a computer repair shop and let them install the proper power supply. I say this because if you buy the wrong power supply, and/or install it incorrectly, it might end up costing you far more.
Your warranty situation is not clear, bur it sounds like you are past the warranty period from Office depot.

Cd / dvd ram driver corrupted or missing


First if the computer is under warranty take it to get it fixed opening the case will void the warranty. if it is out of warranty consider opening the computer case your self and firmly make sure the wires are well connected. the reboot. third try downloading the driver form the manufacturer's web site. i think that brand is a Panasonic. If that still fails you might have a bad drive, which you can replace or have a local shop replace it. sites like newegg.com and tigerdirect.com have adequate replacement drives.
take a good look at reinstalling the driver. you can use the device manage for this or usually the driver form the mfg. will have an install package.

Either!

The correct chain is thru the company you bought it from as your first point of contact, but if you get no joy there there is nothing to stop you from taking it directly to the manufacurer. Just bear in mind a few points.

*Just about all warranties are return to base - so you have to take the effort and cost to get it there thus your origional point of sale (POS) is the best place to start and sometimes they will bear the cost of the return.

*You will need your proof of purchase by way of a receipt. Credit card/bank records do not constitute a proof of purchase but will help the company you bought it off provide you with a duplicate. If you payed cash and can not remember the date all bets are off - be nice to the staff that you are talking to because they are under no obligation to provide you with a duplicate (esp cash and no date).

*Some manufacturers will acknowledge batch/serial numbers in lew of proof of purchase becuse these will demonstrate that the unit was manufactured within the warranty period.

*Finaly this is not in reference to your current situation but a verry handy FYI. When you purchase an item or especialy a system you will often find that the supplier (POS) is only offering a 12 month warranty or charge you extra for a 24 month warranty. This is as we aussies say is money for jam. This is because the manufacturers often have significantly longer warranties for components they supply.

Lets look at a system:

Intel CPU - Lifetime warranty
Kingmax RAM - lifetime warranty
Seagate HDD - 5 year warranty
Mitsubishi CDRW, DVDRW, Floppy - 2 year warranty
Most Power Supplies - 2 year warranty

Admitedly most board and adaptors are 12 months but not all.

So you come in with a failed unit, they point at their receipt with the 12 month waranty notice (actualy illegal) sell you a new one (at profit) send the failed unit off for credit or replacement and put it on the floor for sale (more profit).

Final Final Note: No warranty covers any kind of physical damage, power surges, water ingres or a unit being used for a purpose other than for which it was designed and opening or modifying a unit will also void warranty.

PRINCETON LCD 19 IN MONITOR. WHEN TURNED ON SCREEN FLASHES OFF AND ON AND MAKES A NOISE EACH TIME IT FLASHES OFF AND ON. AFTER SEVERAL MINUTES STAYS ON AND WORKS FINE.


Sounds like there is a capacitor in the power supply section that is failing to charge/discharge correctly. Is it under MFG warranty? If so I would send it in for repair.
