You will have to take the lower back off of the TV with the power off of course for safety. Only use like a Swiffer to reach in there to clean if the only issue is spider webs. If you use anything else you will end up scratching the screen assembly and they usually run between 300-500 for the assembly. Please take a few minutes to rate my answer...Thank you. :)

Mitsubishi WS-55807, screen removal / cleaning

Hi, thank you for visit fixya.
Pull out the speaker cover ( slow toward your self).
You will see screws in the middle , take it out ( maybe is 4 o 6 screws), be careful with any wires connect to panel control. Disconnect any connector to panel control. Pull toward your self , slow and slide up . Use a fine brush for best result, use glass cleaner liquid.
Any question, I will be here.
If you need additional help, please send me a picture front tv and I will show the right process.

Thank you

Take off the top of the tv ( remove bolts from back and lift the top off) Under neath you will see three bulbs they are probably out or dirty. While you are at it clean the inside of your screen after replacing the bulbs. Go on website for Mitsubishi and they will tell you what bulbs you need

Cobwebs behind the screen of a 55" projection screen. How do I remove screen to clean the TV? I have a Mitisubishi WS-55809.

Hello morsec,

You will need to remove the screws on the back of the top half of the TV set. This will allow you to remove the top rear half of the TV and give you access to the screen. Make sure you do not break the mirror that is attached to the rear of the TV set. Clean the screen with a damp non-abrasive cloth dry with a dry non-abrasive cloth. When finish replace the back of the TV and tighten the screws to hand tightness.

I hope this helps,

Thank you,

Mitsubishi ws-55517

the outside screen is called a linticular lens and the inside one is the fresnele lens. They both should come out together from the front as the trim on this set if im not mistaking pulls or slides off then theres mounting plates holding it on. Becarefull and dont try to clean the mirror as the coatings on the outside of the mirror. Also be very carefull not to touch any componets as theres extremly hi voltage in these sets even with them unplugged. Good Luck
