Dear,
Be sure that the 'lock' button on top is off. Try switching it and try to move your clickwheel. It worked ? Great If not, contact your local Apple dealer or electronics shop.
Thanks for using FixYa, please give this solution 4 thumbs if it helped.

My Ipod (ipod model number a1137) is no longer charging and as a result it has completely depleted its power reserve. I am not sure why this happening or why it will not charge any longer. Please assist...

Try charging it with an AC adapter.

If this doesn't work, it's likely that the battery is simply old. I think your model of iPod is a 1st gen Nano, in which case the battery has probably neared the end of its life.

See this page on how to get it replaced by Apple:

Or, if you think you've got the skills, you could try doing it yourself:

IPod screen does not display and is all white but plays music

hello, Was someone messing around with the Contrast settings? If so, the Contrast may be set so low that you can't see the information on the iPod's screen. The only way to reset your iPod back to the factory defaults (including the Contrast setting) is to let the battery drain all the way out. Do whatever it takes to let the battery die then let the iPod sit overnight to be safe. Then the next morning, charge the battery and turn the iPod on. The first thing you should see is a screen asking you to select your language. If you can see your screen now, congratulations, this did the trick. If not, you probably need a new screen.

Sounds like the battery needs to be replaced.  Apple.com can get you one.
There's a few places on E-Bay you can purchase one as the instructions on how to remove the case.

What generation nano do I have?

I don't know it by model number but the generation are easy to define.
A first generation nano is either black or white.  It is made out of the same material as a standard Ipod at the time.  Comes in 1 gig and 2 gig only
A second generation nano is multi colored and made from a metal case.  Similar in design to a mini.  The edges are round as well. comes in 2 gig and 4 gig.
A third generation nano is a different size than 1 and 2.  it has a bigger screen on it.  Can play videos as well.  Comes in 2 gig, 4 gig, and 8 gig as well.
