Re: help...

Have you gone into the menu settings and turned on the AUX input?

If you hit the "source" button and AUX does not show up. It needs to be turned on.

My daughters unit (different from yours) didn't show AUX on the menu until something was physically connected to it. Plug your MP3 or whatever in and see if the menu then detects it. HTH

Everything works except for mp3 when i plug it in. doesnt even say aux on screen

Just figured this out !
1) You have to be in 'Standby' mode - press (SRC) until it shows standby.
2). Press and hold 'Menu' button.
3). Using the joystick - move it left or right until it shows 'AUX' 'OFF'.
4). Move joystick up or down until it shows 'AUX ON1'.

It should now work ! - This is on P.22 of the manual - but it actually starts on page 19 where it describes 'Standby' mode.

Deh-p9800bt My screen is gone

I opened the radio and found that the wired ribbon that connect the front display plug to the inside main electronic board was cutted on the place that the ribbon bends when the face plate move in and out to take off the display or put a CD.(It sees like after years opening and closing ribbon makes an edge and break). I called Crutchfield and they brought this phone # for Pioneer replacement parts, Tel. 1-800-228-7221. I called and ordered the part (P/N:XNP7026, FACEPLATE RIBBON CABLE - $24.95) and I installed it, the decks is working perfect! If you have electronic working experience will be easy, if not, buy the part and bring it to an electronic shop. The front connector plug has to be reused. This cable is used on other models like : DEHP6800MP, DEHP7800MP, DEHP780MP, DEHP9800BT, and the DEH980BT. Hope that this help!
