The flash on my Panasonic DMC-FZ100 doesn't work, I've tried 'forced flash' and thats not working either?

Hello Ray, This is not something a user wants to attempt !!! The camera really needs to be repaired by a tech. You will do more harm than good by trying to fix it yourself and will cost even more if you damage something.

Computer is not working

The computer may be in hibernate or standby. Try pressing the space bar, and then wait a moment. See if anything happens. If nothing happens, press the power button for one second and wait a moment and see if anything happens. If nothing occurs, you may need to force a restart.

To force a restart, hold in the power button for approximately 15-20 seconds, this should force the computer to turn off all the way. If holding the power button doesn't do the trick - you can unplug the computer from the wall and take out the laptop battery as a last resort.

Once you are sure the computer is off all the way, press the power button and see if anything at all shows on the screen. If you are not able to see any information on the screen, it is possible that the Laptops screen has gone bad. If you have an external monitor you can try to plug into it and see if anything shows. If nothing shows, it is possible the video card/motherboard is gone bad.

To fully diagnose a bad motherboard or video card - you would need to take it to a qualified computer technician.

Have placed an 8 gigabite sandisk with photos in my toshiba. it will not come up on the screen. what do i do?

If your computer doesn't detect it and/or it does not light up then the drive is bad. You will have to replace it. If you need the content then I would contact a data recovery specialist company to attempt to retrieve the data. For flash drives it generally will run you several hundred dollars.
Just google "data recovery experts" and you should get relevant locations in your area.

Flash stick not recognized

first thing to try is just use a differant usb port. Then you can try rebooting the computer and try it. don't leave it plugged in when rebooting so it forces it to detect it. If it doesn'tsee it then you want to try the stick in a differant computer.

The first just forces it to be detected on a new port. the second is just incase the first port has a problem and the last is to make sure it is the computer or the stick that is the problem. Usually its just a matter of trying it in a new port and away it goes. Unfortunetly these also die all the time so the stick itself can be the problem. They are fairly cheap to replace. If there is real important data on it then you can pay to have it recovered but that will cost a few hundred dollars to get done.

Don;t leave these plugged in all the time and be carefull if you are getting static electric shocks etc. those are the two big killers of these. And sometimes they just stop for no apparent reason.

Memory Card Error Messages

Fully Corrupt:
When the entire save area of the Memory Card becomes corrupt, the system will inform the player that the Memory Card is corrupt and offer to format it. The card must be formatted before gameplay begins or when the game attempts to access the Memory Card. The exact message may vary from software to software.

Follow the steps for formatting a memory card.

Once it is accessed, the game will inform the player that the file being accessed is corrupt and must be erased. The game will only delete the one file being accessed and will not format the entire Memory Card (Other saved game files on the Memory Card may be OK).

Follow the steps for deleting a file.

I put memory card into a card reader and it got stuck and now memory card doesnt work

1. You have removed the memory card forcefully from the card reader, that's why it not working!

2. Does the card reader detects your memory card (even if it's not working)?

3. Check your memory card with a digital camera / card adapter!

please rate this advice if it helps...tc! :)

Flash card detecting but shows no disk on drive

The card should be reflected as removable media automatically upon insertion in the card reader. Have you tried to use it with another PC? If it doesn't work in another PC, as it doesn't here, it is a hardware problem. As support info is light on their site, their forum was the only real place I found information. According to forum post (at http://shop.transcendusa.com/forum/index.asp), you should be able to get it replaced through the warranty & satisfaction guarantee if it is faulty. Further, their tech support at http://www.transcendusa.com/Contact/CuTechsupport.asp?LangNo=0&Func1No=6&Func2No=84 should assist you in further testing as necessary, and could also issue an RMA for return/replacement.

One part of your post I don't really understand is the statement that it is "detecting but shows no disk on drive" - and as well "It may detecting on Laptop intermittently". If you need further assistance, it would help if you could clarify this on your next post. Thanks for letting me know what happens, and for rating at FixYa!

First try turning on your phone without the memory card. I suspect you have an SD flash upgrade files in the SD card that's forcing the phone to reflash every time it turn on.

If it is still failed, you could try doing a hard reset? But be carefull, you'll need to back up all your data first, cause it will delete all files and data in the phone.
