If it is a symbol that looks like ((o)) then it is the Stereo XL button. The quickstart guide on Logitechs website says "Logitech Pure-Fi Anywhere 2 includes a proprietary "Stereo XL" feature that dramatically widens the sound field. To turn Stereo XL on and off, use the ((o)) button on the remote" but the picture shows it on the stereo. Here's a link to the guide http://www.logitech.com/assets/34346/purefianywhere2-quickstart-guide.pdf.
I received my anywhere one week ago, the remote didn't work, reracking several times didn't help, I replaced the battery with minus to plus vv. and then put it in again properly, working flawlessly since. Logitech won't advise this method but it's worth trying.
You can find the quick start guide on the logitech website but doesn't answer this question. I was needing the same answer. I figured it out after pushing all the buttons, maybe you have by this time tried the same thing.
In case you haven't here is the answer:
there is a little time button (looks like a clock) right above the sleep button on the remote. press and hold this until the time on the display flashes, press plus or minus to move the hours first, then press the play/pause button to switch to minutes and plus or minus to change these. press the little clock button to exit out and set the time.
Hope this helps.
