I suspect you may not have a big enough antenna to get the stations, it is not placed (or rotated correctly) or you have a signal loss issue (splitting the signal to multiple TVs). If you go to antennaweb.org, you can plug in your address and get the channels you are able to get most readily and the type of antenna you need. http://www.tvfool.com is a similar site but gives more information on the signal strength and recommendations.

In general outdoor antennas, when rotated correctly, will give you the best signal and most channel selection. If you have multiple TVs attached to one antenna, get an amplifier/splitter to improve the signal.

Most converters will not change stations if they found only one channel.

I hope this helps.

(My household has an outdoor antenna, a rotor, and a signal splitter and amplifier to get stations that antennaweb.org says that are not available to us. When I set up TVs for a neighbor, using their indoor antennas, I got one channel (each with sub-channels) on each TV. However due to direction issues, each TV got different channels. One got the stations to the south; the other got the channels to the southeast. The transmitters are less than 10 degrees apart and less than 50 miles away.)

Are you connected to a digtal converter or just a digital antenna? If only to an antenna then yes you will most likely pick up one or two low power UHF stations that are still able to broadcast in analog.

Go to this web site http://www.antennaweb.org and you can enter your zip and surroundings. The site will tell you what kind of antenna you will need to receive the local stations. The problem with digital station broadcasting is it doesn't travel as far as analog broadcasts did. Thanks for rating... :)

if you have a cable hooked to it,then you need to pay for a cable tv subscription, you cannot get free digital channels on it,you shouldnt get any analog channels unless a station hasnt changed to digital, you need a cheap hdtv antenna to receive digital channels over the air.

The reduce volume key on my GE remote to my GE (model 20GT360) TV doesn't work. Can I buy a new remote or get a universal remote? I don't know the code.

If you are certain that your remote is defective, consider buying a GE universal remote as a replacement. The instructions that come with the replacement remote will tell you how to get it working with your TV

I am moving tomorrow and won't be able to afford cable or satellite for awhile. I have a newer model Sanyo tv. Will I need a converter box or can I hook an antenna directly into the tv to pick u

If your TV has the screw-on coaxial cable connection on the back, then you will not need a converter box. You can attach an internal or external antenna and have your TV scan for digital channels. The converter boxes are mostly for old CRT TVs with analog tuners or newer home theater "monitor" TVs which are being produced without built in tuners.

Do i need just an antenna or one of those digital converter boxes to get just local channels in Denver on this TV?

If your TV was made after 2007 it should have the digital receiver built in. If so you can just hook any antenna you wish up and receive all your local channels.

I have a polaroid hdtv model TLA-d1911c that wont get a local channel.I bought a new antenna and hooked it up but it still wont pick anything up.

You may be looking in the wrong place or have the wrong kind of antenna. With the digital conversion, TV channels shifted from the numbers they used before. In my area, the previous Channel 6 is now broadcasting in the UHF band.
It can be harder to adjust the antenna for a digital TV because it is either working well or totally off - no gradually decreasing "snow" as a clue.
It is possible your TV is not equipped to pick up digital TV. There are converters to translate digital TV to analog signals for older TV. They cost between $30 and $70 depending on features.

Indoor antenna problem with Magnavox LCD TV Model 15MF605T/17

I have found most of these indoor antennae to be ineffective and a waste of money, however, I do not know anything about this particular antennae. I to have a Dish DTVpal, which I love! It's ugly and probably won't fit in your kitchen, but the best solution is to make your own "bow-tie" antennae, mount it indoors or on the roof and run a cable to the kitchen. Directions can be found on You-Tube. I live in SE Idaho (Pocatello) and can get 13 channels, most without having to adjust the antennae.

Rabbit ears to digital conversion box

Your TV is old enough to have not only screw terminals for the antenna, but it sounds like it has separate UHF and VHF terminals as well. Pick up a 75-ohm to 300-ohm adapter (available at Radio Shack and probably most other places that sell TV's and antennas). This is a small cylinder-shaped part with a threaded antenna connector on one end, and a flat wire with two terminals on the other end. Connect the cable from the converter box to the round connector, hook the two terminals to the VHF antenna screws on your TV, put the TV on channel 3 and you'll be set.

You should also pick up a new antenna designed to work with digital broadcasting. If you use the old rabbit ears you were using before, you will probably not pick up all the channels available in your area.
