Question about Panasonic NN-P294WF Microwave Oven
My model no. is NN-294SF, which is the nearest I could find. About a week ago I was using the machine to bake a potato and opened the door prior to the conclusion of the cooking cycle. Since that time I have been unable to use the unit. I am getting power as far as the socket and it is a dedicated circuit. I cannot find the manual to see if there is a fuse between the socket and the Keypad, I saw some reference to a secret childproof switch, but have no idea where this may be located. The door which opens during cooking is stuck in the open position and the plastic toggle which keeps it open is also stuck.
Can you offer me some suggestions please?

There is a small ceramic 18A fuse located on the circuit board behind touch pad. You have to remove the top and wrap around panel to get at it. Had same problem, my fuse was ok though. My problem seems maybe in dor switches. http://www.fixya.com/support/t610587-nnp_294_dead
Hope yours is just a fuse. Good luck!

In most cases, this is a problem with the inverter or a bad transfotmer.
Due to the lethal voltages used and produced, I do not recommend that an inexperienced person work on these.
I would recommend that you contact your nearest Panasonic-authorized servicer. You can find one here:
