HI, MY XEROX 1045 COPIER has making ""clicking"" sound

HI, MY XEROX 1045 COPIER has been making good copies for me. About one hour ago, I noticed that the toner light came on. I did not want to change the toner, as the copier am still making high quality copies. After the last copy I made, it started a continuous slow paced ''clicking'' sound and won't stop. I tried turning it off and one. I tried removing & replacing the same toner & drum. There is no code displayed. What can I try to get it to operate again? If this problem is due to low toner, is there a TONER override/reset procedure that I can use? If yes, what is it?
I know of the DRUM override/reset procedure for error code J2, but I don't know anything for this toner. Can you help me? thanks

    NO it is not a drum problem, I replaced the toner & copier is working fine.

That indicates you need to replace the drum cartridge. It's been a while since I supported those products, but I believe the cartridge is in the bottom of the device. Make sure you remove the toner cartridge before tipping it over or you'll have a mess to clean up and won't be able to remove the drum.

Once you replace the drum, you need to reset the copier.

Copier keep making noise while copying


Do you see any issue with the print quality? If everything is working ok and it's still making a noise call your photocopier provider.

Sounds like the output clutch. Take the top off the fuser area and clean the clutch.

Hi,

Sounds like you've got something jammed in the ADH. Have a good look under the cover on the side where there is a narrow glass strip..

The line is caused by a mark or spot on this narrow glass. As the original passes over it a small spot will be picked up as a continuous line.

Error code E701


Е-701 the malfunction on frequency temporary signal, which can arise out of for undue execution temporary parameter. The Sensors fix time of the passing the paper in feeder, it not always coincides. You it is necessary to apply to service service and do service. This not big worries. Good luck!

Xerox XC 1045 has a flashing H 4 error.




elem_1_spacer.gif Performing a Fault Reset 14 will reset your copier and will help to clear error codes.
  1. Turn the power off.
  2. Locate the Clear Button, which is grey in color, in the upper right corner above the green Start Button.
  3. Locate the Auto Button the lower left corner of the Control Panel.
  4. Turn the power back on.
  5. Press the buttons in the following sequence, releasing each button after each time you press it: [Clear], [Auto], [Clear], [Auto]. Every light on the Control Panel should go out, and the error code should clear.
  6. If the error code has not cleared, wait a few seconds then repeat Steps 1 through 5.
  7. Program the copier as if you were going to make 14 copies.
  8. Press the green [Start] button to store the reset code. The copier will return to the ready position.
  9. Run a test copy.

sorry, I didn't notice that you had indicated the model. This machine likely needs a technician to clean the unit...primarily the laser optics, and transfer sections, I would say
