Question about Xerox Office Equipment & Supplies
HI, MY XEROX 1045 COPIER has been making good copies for me. About one hour ago, I noticed that the toner light came on. I did not want to change the toner, as the copier am still making high quality copies. After the last copy I made, it started a continuous slow paced ''clicking'' sound and won't stop. I tried turning it off and one. I tried removing & replacing the same toner & drum. There is no code displayed. What can I try to get it to operate again? If this problem is due to low toner, is there a TONER override/reset procedure that I can use? If yes, what is it?
I know of the DRUM override/reset procedure for error code J2, but I don't know anything for this toner. Can you help me? thanks
That indicates you need to replace the drum cartridge. It's been a
while since I supported those products, but I believe the cartridge is
in the bottom of the device. Make sure you remove the toner cartridge
before tipping it over or you'll have a mess to clean up and won't be
able to remove the drum.
Once you replace the drum, you need to reset the copier.
