Question about Proform Exercise & Fitness
Pro Form C525. Then incline motor works with a gear wheel moving up a metal bar with teeth. The motor did not stop when the teeth ran out and continued off the end of the bar. ProForm says I need a whole motor assembly. I am sure a part broke but how do I make sure it does not happen again? The sensor seems to be used for calibration. I would think the motor would stop and reverse when it ran out of teeth.
The repair for this is usually a new elevation motor. However if elevation isn't a big issue for for you, you can disconnect the elevation motor and use treadmill like that. The elevation motor doesn't go out that often. You should check with a local repair person. They may have a used one laying around. I usually keep one on hand to test with.
