Kicker amps not working

I have two kicker kx6oo.1 and i had them wired to two 12 inch kickers. They worked great but i decided to rebuild the box. When i went to reconnect the amps, only one worked. The other keeps going into protection mode but flickers back to power every five seconds. It doesnt power up the speakers. I already redid all the grounding but that didnt help. Also the working amp will sometimes shut off while im driving. Dont know if its because I have both speakers hooked up to it or what.

Re: kicker amps not working

With your multimeter set to DC volts, the black meter lead on the ground terminal of the amp and the head unit on (so the amp will have remote voltage applied), touch the red lead alternately to the B+ and remote terminals of the amp. If the voltage is below ~11 volts, you need to check the wiring feeding whichever line is too low.

The power light is on but the sub not playing at is also a kicker product. A 12 inch sub all wires are in the right place a audio shop did the work for me. Can you please tell me what is going on.

Is your sub in a box? the power light is on your amp? try to connect a car speaker to the port you have the sub plugged into, if the speaker works its not your speaker terminal on your amp it's the sub. Check the wiring on the connectors of the back of the sub itself and the wire terminals inside the box (if sub in bass box)
Please let me know if this was any help and let me know if it solves your problem

Today i turned on stereo system driving in my car, and i have 2 12"inch t1 Rockford in a box with kicker zx300.1 it all hooked up on my car for like weeks ago and work great, but today it stop working...

Hello charlietmn,

First off you need to turn your vehicle on, turn the stereo on. Go back and look at the amp. Do you see a power light on ? Is it green or red ?
If there is no light or a red light on, your amp is not getting power or is not grounded correctly in which you can try the following:

Check and make sure your ground cable is grounded properly. It should be attached to your vehicles frame on bare metal.

You can also check your fuses, in your amp, and in the power cable for the amp.

In my experience installing car audio, those are the two most common simple issues.

Post back after you've checked the things I mentioned. I will assist you further if you need further help. Thank you for choosing Fixya and have a great day.

Kickers dont beat like they should

try to check and clean the wiring as clean as possible to avoid messing up on your connection. Check the polarity of you subs to yuor amp if you have it connected on the outher way around it would not give you a good result. check the polarity this will solve your problem. Over powering your sub will fry it easily try to tune it a 10" sub wont give you a 15" performance..

Subs dont beat like they should

you've spent alot of money on **** by the sounds of it!!. you should only ever run multiple subs the same brand, power and resistance you can just connect any old subs to a system you need to wire them depending on the load that the amp needs to see. first thing is to try the amp/s on a individual sub to check your amps still work once done check the subs 1 by 1.

Kicker 750.1 Amp wont play music

it is probably the rca inputs on the amp may have fried. was your cd decked turned up loudly before the power went out? did any wires accidently touch each other? If had worked fine and then suddenly stopped, than either a wire came loose or the inputs fried. try using different cables and I also suggest disconnecting power for 24 hours and then reconnect. If the green light is on then it is getting power and the problem is in the rca cables or the inputs

Kicker amp troubleshooting

Disconnect all speaker wires and signal cables from the amp. If it powers up, the wiring needs to be checked. If it still shuts down, the amp likely has blown output transistors.
