I have a Mitsubishi Rear Projection TV model WS65807. Need main signal board part #930B868001. Fits on chassis V-17. Repairman fixed orignal problems and 4 weeks later lost picture. He called Mitsubishi and they said the above was the problem. They do not make part any more but could probably find on the web. 3

Invested approx $900 into repairs several weeks ago and we had an awesome picture, better than new. We lost picture, repair man came back and called Mitsubushi..we will need this part to fix the TV. Should I invest more money? The TV is old but we really don't use it much. The repairman feels bad...said if I could find the part he would put it in, no charge. He's an authorized Mitsubishi Dealer/Repair company.

This is a well known problem on this model. The fault is often caused by a coolant leak dripping on top of the signal board and damaging the signal board.

The only seller that is keeping 930B868001 in stock is asking $350 for each board.

Because of the signal board problem you can often find this model on craig list, or on Ebay: Mitsubishi ws-65807 65" widescreen

I also suggest calling Mitsubishi and asking them if they can arrange repair.

If you have already invested all this money, then it may be worth purchasing the part, and having it installed at no extra cost.

Ask also the technician before purchasing, he has tested your TV.

If you want you can also try contacting the seller here.

Mitsubishi 65 inch rear projector TV with remote. Model WS65807. HD ready, but not HD. Has failed circuit board, part number 930B866001. This board regulates audio and video. Part no longer available...

Short answer: No.

The board and install will cost you more than an LCD/LED flat screen TV.

Sorry for the bad news, but you will save space and electricity with the new TV.

Next problem: Trashing the projection TV.

I have a WS65807 model proj tv .... I'm looking for part number 930B868001

Part shows as no longer available, This is listed as the signal panel, are you having trouble with convergence ? Intergrated chips for this are available, part number STK392-560. You need soldering skills to replace. Most common failure on those sets. The module you ask about is not available for resale and is very expensive. I did not see one on EBay.

I have a 60" rear projection Mitsubishi Tv with a "wavy" picture in the vertical direction. What may be the problem?

You have dreaded model that build around so called V-26 chassis. It's an epic story of Mitsubishi's bad engineering several years ago. They even faced class action about it and issued recall that (of course) already expired by now. You can search web for info on court case against Mitsubishi. This particular issue is caused by faulty components in Format board that is part of the chassis. The only right way to fix it - is to remove whole chassis (sandwich of several boards in metal enclosure) and send it to Mitsubishi to get rebuilt. If you will pay someone for repair of just this board - soon others will fail as well, one of another associated issue - after unplugging TV from the wall outlet you have green blinking light forever (reboot does not come to complete).
Right now Mitsubishi lowered price for rebuilding from $640 to $320 for authorized Repair Centers nationwide. Add to it labor charge for removal/installation (at least $150) and shipping (Mitsubishi assign number for repair and send special padded box that fits chassis) at least another $50.
Also take into consideration that lamp inside of your TV sooner or later have to be replaced. It is another $150-$225.
Calculate all of this together - that's how much you have to spend to watch your TV for another 2-3 years.
Common sense would be to cut you losses and invest in new one.
As for my experience - I've removed/installed those V-26 chassis about 1000 times or so while working for Mitsubishi Authorized Center.
Hope my knowledge of this issue would help you save some money.

Mitsubishi WS65807

The Color Signal on this Model Series travels across three boards before being sent to the CRTs. The 3DYC Board, Signal Board and the Terminal Board. Most likely, the 3DYC Board or the Signal Board is causing the problem. I have had intermittent solder connections on the 3DYC Board to cause no color problems. This Board plugs in and is located on the left front of the Signal Board as you look from the rear of the chassis. If you feel you are not up to the task to work on the set, call a Mitsubishi professional. To find one, call Mitsubishi at 1800-332-2119.
I hope this helps,

VS-60601 Mitsubishi Problem...

That model is famous for the CRts leaking onto the chassis which causes all kinds of problems and can cause the main circuit board to short as well as destroy the solder. Try looking at the board for evidence of a pastey substance that would indicate CRT coolant leakage. Let me know what you find.
