Question about Brother MFC 7420 All-In-One Laser Printer
Installed fully re-filled toner. After about 300 pages, display started showing toner low. After printing about 15 pages, display started showing Toner Life End. Took toner out. Shook it a little, re-inserted. It printed about 2 pages and display started showing Toner Life End. Checked the toner, it is full. Resetted the switch. Problem keeps repeating. Any solutions?
There is a gear on the left hand side of the toner to reset the toner count this can cheated be rewinding it. Yes the design is to stop the refillers or at least slow them down a bit. If this fails purchase a new genuine toner but I have seen problems with the switch that resets the toner (Either the spring on the switch has popped off or the main board has failed).
