Question about Office Equipment & Supplies

1 Answer

Printing labels I am trying to print labels (using openoffice saved as a doc.) and the printer keeps beeping five times and then telling me that the job failed to print. It does not tell me anywhere what the problem is. I tried changing the settings to label on both the xerox and the print job but that didn't work either

You may have to set the lables up on the bypass or manual feed input as the machine has to compensate for the thickness of the labels and slows the print process down. check the display on the copier it may be asking to load labels in the bypass

Zm400 media darkness settings get reset after printings lable from SAP

The printer driver settings override the printer settings unless you tell the driver to use the printer settings. You can tell by setting the printer setting and saving it permanently. Print a configuration label. Send a label to the printer. Print another configuration label. Compare the config labels and If it changed, then the driver changed it. Set the driver as above and it will not change when you print.

The printer keeps skipping lables. Eg: I tell it to print five and it prints one, a blank one, prints another one, a blank one, and then prints one more.

there is 2 sensors unther the printhead, the downsensor (small metalic case unther the labels) and the uppersensor (black plastic bit wit a scwer on the top. Thwy have to match, check if they are at the same position, run the SENSOR PROFILE, see if you can see the gap. Run manual calibration. save. restart the printer.

I have a Zebra s600 that is set to 30 darkness and the head is screwed down fairly tight. I can print this way but if the printing lightens up, I don't have any more adjustment. The barcode reader picks up...

0.print config label (printer off, press Cancel button and tur on printer, wait 5 secunds and relese button)
1.press the last button until the ligth set on Darkness (Darkness on),
2 press the 3rd button 10 times( darkness down from 30 to 20 (3rd button=less 2nd button=more),
3.press 2 times the last button untill the 3 leds flash(save)
4.turn printer off.
5.Press pouse button, turn printer on, still pressing for 8 secunds, and then release te button.
6.The printer go to print the test label, let run 3 or 5 labels, then pause.
If not happy, repeat steps 1 and 2 (less times 2 or 3 times at the time and save)
print configuration label again ans se if you happy.
If the printer still going to darkness 30, chek if you forgot to save or check the driver settings and change.
Last option Resect to Factory Defult (this drop darkness to +10)

Just a general question - does this printer allow you to have it set up and print watermarks?

all printers are capable of printing embedded watermarks. If you are using MSOFFICE or Openoffice.org check out how to embed a watermark in a document , No other info needed just print when ready.
I usuallly create w a temkplate with watermark confidential fax or final notice and then call up the template and then save it to write in as a doc.

I have a Zebra 110 XiIII p it does print different size bar codes

Keeping up with the Drivers is a very good idea, it will fix little problems that come along from time to time. Try resetting the printer defaults by entering the menu system and exiting, at piont of exit don't save permanently but cycle around to load defaults and exit. Go back in and set the printer up again, this time exit saving permanently.

I WANT TO PRINT LABELS ON A HP PHOTOSHOP D5360

You may want to check the ensuite software that came with the printer, and see if it offers label printing. More likely, you can access label printing templates in Microsoft Office or Works, perhaps even Openoffice.org's freeware.

Hi Jeffery,

Can you give a little more info, you say the same doc keeps printing, do you know how many times you haved tryed to print this doc.

If you can get inside the print q and delete the print job.

then try a new print job it sounds like the same job is stuck in the Q

Canon MX310 - print is gray instead black. How to fix it.

I wish someone would REALLY solve this, but I've found two (time-consuming!) workarounds:

1) Despite using plain paper, tell it you're using "Matte Photo Paper" (this is necessary in order to...) then set the print quality to the next-to-highest level (default is middle of five quality levels). The doc will print in black as it should, not grey.

2) Instead of the above, use the printer dialogue option to print to a PDF file; then open the pdf and print it. It will print in black, not grey!

WHY WHY WHY WHY WHY?????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
