Dahaka,Thanks for your reply. I am an ACAD draftsman and have used AMD processors for years with good results. My past employers have had PCs equipped with both Intel and AMD neither cpu being noticeably faster than the other. Since I'm currently using an AMD and being on a fixed income due to a stroke I suffered three years ago and have not been able to return to work I felt it would be the most sensible route for me to take.
    Thanks Again.

Hi,
Why are you trying to upgrade it? I personaly dont linke AMD,
i think they are quite slow compared to others such as Intel. If you want tell me why do you want to change it, or what are you looking for, i could suggest you to buy another computer (i can help you search what you are looking for)

Will you use it for videogames or high quality programs, or just basic use(microsoft word, exel, internet, music ect)?

Now if what you want is just to change od AMD procesor, but keep the same computer, go to
    http://www.amd.com/us-en/Processors/Prod...
and you can see some AMD procesors.
I recomend you AMD phenom or AMD athlon

Like to replace my processor which is AMD Duron 900MHz to Motherboard Gigabyte 7VM333M-RZ. Which current processors are compatible with this board? Please advise. I want a current fast processor.

Hi, As far as I can see, this motherboard is very old, and the faster processor you could get would be around 1.8 ghz, single core. Here's the list of supported processors:
http://www.cpu-upgrade.com/mb-Gigabyte/7VM333M-RZ.html
What I would suggest is that you buy a motherboard/cpu combo, then you could get a quad core with a recent motherboard for less than 150-200$. Of course you'd have to be willing to change your motherboard, but unfortunately, you're not gonna get a good processor with your current motherboard, and computer parts (like Ram, hard drives, video cards) are going to cost more and more for their rarety, while they are less performant.
Best of luck to you!

PLEASE SUGGEST ME A SUITABLE GRAPHIC CARD FOR MY K8V-MX MOTHER BOARD ALSO THE PROCESSOR I WANT TO UPGRADE FROM AMD SEMPRON TO AMD ATHLON

Unfortunately you cannot upgrade the processor with a new one, the socket 754 is obsolete, retired 4 years ago. You might find some second hand Athlons that will fit it (fastest is 3700+) on auction sites.
That board uses AGP 8x video interface so the best one for it would be something like

Have amd atlon 64 processor 400+ can i upgrade to x2 processor aus kn8 motherbord

The K8N motherboard does not support x2 dual core CPU's.
Open the link provided by Asus online; http://www.asus.com/product.aspx?P_ID=zigzffr75jWJ7j2y&content=specifications

Click the, "CPU Supported List". The fastest CPU listed is the,
Athlon 64 3700+ (Socket754).

A7V266E/AA MB CPU

The Ol' Asus A7V266-E?
1.The fastest Front Side Bus setting is 266MHz
2.Uses Socket 462 AMD processors
3.Uses Athlon, Athlon XP, and Duron AMD processors.

I would stick with an AMD Athlon XP. Fastest one? Hmmm, I believe that would be the AMD Athlon XP 2600+
The one that operates at 2133MHz with a FSB of 266MHz. Part number AXDA2600DKV3C

Here is the Motherboard Manual for your Asus A7V266-E, (It's a PDF file download. Let it download all the way before looking through it)
http://www.motherboards.org/files/manuals/1/a7v266e-100.pdf

If the above direct link does not work for you, then go here,
http://www.motherboards.org/mobot/manuals/ASUS/A7V266-E/ (Click on -> Download <- all the way to the right of -> File:a7v266e-100.pdfVersion:--Release Date:--)

Go to Page 19, Item 2. NO POWER connected to computer, make sure the SYSCLK (System Clock) DIP switches are set to 133MHz.
1, 2, 3, and 4 are set to the OFF position for 133MHz.
All you will see is the ON. The switches go to the opposite side as shown in Item 2.

I'm sure they are set there however, as your 1900+ you have in right now, uses a 266MHz FSB.
I should explain.
AMD processors are Double-Pumped. Therefore the 133MHz setting will become 266MHz for the processor. (Intel processors are Quad-Pumped.

They are both the same Core, (Thoroughbred A/B, Model 8, 130nm), so a BIOS update shouldn't be necessary.
