I cannot activate panda internet security after installing windows 7(the window doesn't even show up). N.B: panda internet security was active on the computer but with vista on it. Microsoft says panda should be able to work on it's new system!

Windows 7 can still be installed and activated after end of support; however, it will be more vulnerable to security risks and viruses due to the lack of security updates. After January 14, 2020, Microsoft strongly recommends that you use a newer version of Windows instead of Windows 7.

Reason- The main cause of this error is the wrong info. entered during the registration and activation of Panda AntiVirus products. The Panda users, during the product activation process, enter wrong information in the space provided.

It could be due to the customer had Norton software previously installed'

Follow the instructions below:
1. Download Norton Removal Tool.
2. Run the Removal Utility, restart the PC and try to activate the Panda Product again.

After completing all of these steps, you will see that the activating process finishes successfully.

My suggestion to your concern is to turn off your Panda 2010 firewall and just activate the windows firewall of your operating system.

Activate Windows dialog box
The user can see whether Windows 7 is genuine or not by activating Windows dialog. To do this, one needs to go to 'Start' and open the 'Search' box. Type 'Inactive Windows' in the box and see whether the version is genuine or not. If the operating system is a genuine one, a message will be displayed stating "Activation was successful" with a logo of Microsoft on the right side of the screen.

Online verification
The user can also verify that Windows 7 is genuine or not by going to the official website of Microsoft and using the validation mechanism that determines the genuineness of an operating system. One may have noticed while downloading updates for Windows that the system asks for a verification to continue the download process. The user should always connect to the web using Internet Explorer and download updates only from the official website.

Offline verification
Another way of checking whether Windows 7 is genuine or not is by going to the 'Control Panel' of the system where one can find an option of system and security. The user needs to click on 'System' and go down to the option of 'Windows Activation'. If Windows 7 is genuine; it will show that Windows is activated along with its product details. This box will also display Microsoft logo to confirm its genuineness.

The error code 401 is due to a conflict in virtualization system. Here's how to fix this: Click on the Windows logo at the bottom left (Start), write APPDATA in the text box and click Enter. On the window that will open go to the Local > Virtualstore > Program Files. Delete the folder called either Panda Software or Panda Security. Open the anti-virus. Enter your update details again and update your security solution.

Activation Error 0005:12057 1. Open Internet Explorer
2. Go to Tools -- Internet Options
3. Go to the Advanced tab
4. Uncheck the following checkboxes as shown in the screenshot below:
Check for server certificate revocation
Warn about certificate address mismatch

5. Close Internet Explorer and open it again so that the changes take effect
6. Try to activate now
