Question about 2wire 2700HG-B Router (2700HGB)
We have had this router for about 2 years. It is connected to my desktop and my husband's computer with wireless adaptor card is across the house about 100 feet. He has always gets a low or no signal strength a lot of times. Can even get kicked right off the internet. Have had so many suggestions as what to do so don't really know what to do. What do you suggest to try first, second, third, fourth???????
Go to the router configuration page and under "wireless", set the power level to 10 or the highest it can go. If the maximum is only 4, then contact your provider to get a proper code for the router/modem.

The First thing you might want to try is to brink the computer closer to the router. Next make sure there are no cordless phones that run on the same 2.4 Ghz Frequency. If all else fails, you might want to consider getting a new "G" or "N" Router, both of which will provide stronger signals, longer range, and not encounter interference from other devices around the house
