Used in LCD and DLP type projection TV's to hold all the optical stuff
that creates, focuses, and projects the image onto the screen.
These TVs are much like a regular video projector except all folded up
to fit it into the space of a TV. They are generally not
repairable, are prone to get overheated, warping the plastic optical
cavity housing and distorting the picture. Very expensive to
replace as a result, usually over a $1000 and why you want to keep one
of these TVs under warranty for its entire life.
