Usually they are both in the same spot: inside a removable panel on the bottom of the laptop. One is just above the other. If you only find one slot on the bottom of the laptop, then the other one is usually just under the keyboard. Some keyboards are easier to remove than others. Sometimes there are screws going thru the bottom of the laptop casing that hold the keyboard in, as well as some small screws going along the top of the keyboard; which are usually covered up by the molding with the power button on it. There could be several screws that you have to remove in order to get the molding and keyboard removed. Be delicate with the ribbon cables. They can be expensive to replace, and be sure to remember exactly where all your screws go back into.
Generally for RAM there is a slot at the backside of your laptop which is located in the central/middle of the computer if you turn the laptop up side down.
you will have to unscrew and open the cover. and that is where the RAM slot is located.
Sometimes, when you add RAM, you need to tell the computer that you have, do that by going into the BIOS when you start up your computer. Or it could be a wrong ytpe of RAM! Hope one of these idias has helped you. DigicalJAI
where did the ram come from? did you buy it or pull it from another computer? its possible the chip is either defective or not for your computer depending on where you got it, its also not that much of an increase so you may not notice it i would suggest getting another 1g stick because yours should take 2g 1 in each slot.
